My son has been there since September 2024. Diagnosed with schizophrenia this is an amazing hospital.Social Sorker calls me monthly with updates .notifies me when his meds change, and reason they changed. His Social Worker is amazing answers all questions always returns all calls. All my visits are very nice from Guard Shack to all employees.They keep the patient busy with Movies , snacks etc . Thank you

It a setup the investigators are friends with most up there if anything happens to any patients and the nurse was behind the incident that tech will always be found guilty not the nurse and nurse walk away with their jobs and tech will always be guilty. Stay away

I don't know I was here for 1 year and 3 months and I would say there's people that don't deserve to work here, but I don't wanna focus on that I wanna focus on those that help me those that would listen to me talk or let me go outside to get fresh air or make sure I didn't get fish sticks or sloppy joe cause I didn't like that food or those that would play card games, any board game. I know I wasn't the best patient always but I would like to thank those that where patient with me. For those that want to know I'm actually doing better now and still wanna thank those that made my stay good even though i was there involuntary lol.

i have been told by staff to get out of this place asap. Today i was court ordered to take more medications when i have not been any problem since ive been here and never been charted on for bad behaviors. She told me i work out to much, i talk really fast, and so on. I do not wish for anyone to come here. And if your child is here make sure you are taking mandatory steps to ensure your child is being treated fairly. READ HANDBOOKS

I have been calling for a whole year to speak to my mom that has schizophrenia. Y’all keep asking if I know her social worker , I don’t . Y’all tell me if she’s there y’all will call me back . No one calls me back and I know that she is there . This is crazy that y’all can’t keep her family updated .

This facility needs to be investigated for it's illegal practices, in and outside of the criminal justice system, this includes the doctors, the hospital judge and director. Them and the majority of staff should be brought up on charges for their participation.

They intentionally pad medical records and fraudulently bill medicare and other insurances, despite the majority of their cases never needing, or requiring the treatment that's being given to them.

Some years ago, I was involuntarily committed to this dead zone, after challenging a judge in the Harris County Judicial System, with the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Following a warrant for my arrest and being placed in the jail, paper work was fraudulently prepared (by Jocelyn Andrews) to have me sent to this wicked and depraved environment.

Only by God's Grace, I was able to hide all the medication forced upon me, in my upper right or left jaw and spit it out immediately after leaving the window. The staff members level of ignorance is profound and despite me being held there for nearly 6 months, I was never discovered and in their sick minds, they actually thought they were treating me.

There was a note in my medical file that stated if I refused the medicine, I was to be shot with Haloperidol, so I pretended to go along with their foolishness. My mother was a nurse and she instructed me what to do and neither of these imbeciles were ever able to detect it. I was considered one of their premier patients and given what they call a green card (freedom pass), despite me being in complete disregard of their policies.

This place makes you think of a Satanic Synagogue and the majority of the staff were either wicked, stupid and all unqualified to treat living human beings. I was assisted by an organization by the name of Advocacy Inc., while I was there and the so-called pathetic treatment team were not allowed to meet with me, unless she was present. I also tape recorded the majority of my conversations I had with them (treatment teams, case workers, etc.) and I still have the recordings to prove it.

I filed complaint, after complaint (State Health Services, JCAHO, etc.), including one with the Harris County DA's Office against this facility and to date, nothing has been done. Sadly, I missed my statute of limitations to pursue medical malpractice against them, but I thank God I was not damaged by this vile place and to date, I don't take any types of medication, and certainly not psych medicines.

While I was there, I worked in the Cafeteria part-time, and I usually worked 21 hours per week, while every other so-called patient was working 7 and these idiots didn't understand how I was able to work so much longer than the others. Well, it's because I was not taking that poison they were putting in everyone else's body, that's how.

I don't recall the ladies name, but, she was a short Caucasian and she was the cafeteria manager. I would sit, talk and sometimes record (a family member sent me a miniature recorder) the conversations I had with her and many others. She once told me that she had witnessed mistreatment and unwarranted medical treatment done to so many people that she knew shouldn't have been there, but, because she needed her job, she kept quiet, when I asked her why she didn't say anything.

She also told me that both her grandchildren were special needs and she wonders why. They're all going to answer to God for what they've done to the lives of so many people that didn't need to be there. I witnessed so much wrong doing and I continued to pray that God would give me the strength and protect me from any harm and He did.

This place was being used as an attempt to undermine me and destroy my credibility to challenge a judge in Harris County. I missed my statute to file the lawsuit, but, because I'm planning to write a book about the experience, I can disclose the names of everyone involved and there's nothing they can do about it. It will not be defamation, because of their actual involvement.

Place is terrible. They made me wear a uncomfortable jacket, wouldn't let me watch Captain Kangaroo or smoke cigarettes in the TV room. The food was actually the only thing tolerable.
