Let do a break down. PROS: Went into the program to get help after suffering a family loss and became homeless. Me and my my family were placed into temp housing then after 3 months were gotten into a permanent home. RMH provide 50% Rental assistance based on income for 3 month as well as first month and security. They got us a home Awesome! they did great.

CONS: After placing us in a home and paying half rent for 3 months and using our income base to put us into what they call shallow subsidy program which was supposed to provide 50% rent assistance for 2 years/or the lease term they waited until January when tax refunds came in and cut us off. Using our tax refund deposit as a source of income they manipulated the contract to say we made to much to be in the program. CUT us completely off. My family is struggling to pay rent and has not recovered financially from our original loss and the promises made by RMH. We based everything we planned and budgeted for off they're assurance they would be there for 2 years to make sure we recovered successfully. Since then we struggle to make ends meet we are continually late on bills and obligations with no end or help in sight. And to add salt to the wound they completely cut you off. This is not an exaggeration, they block your phone numbers so you cant call caseworkers or managers. No one ever answers. if you call the main line and give them your name a secretary tells you there isn't anyone available and she will relay a message to call but never attempts to put you in contact nor do you ever receive a call. They're legal team never calls back/or answers with any information on VA claims or assistance they were supposed to provide to help file for VA benefits. When they were providing assistance they're share continually was late, sent to wrong addresses/banks, and they blamed it on a finance department allegedly run by one person. Paper check system is used with no tracking or information and received not 1 not 2 but 3 months worth of late fees for our home due to they're errors that they never paid or assisted with and we were forced to pay out of pocket with limited income as it stood after they cut us off. When contacted bout this issues they ignored calls emails and texts entirely basically giving the biggest stick they could with absolutely no warning. They ended all support exactly 24 hrs. before rent was due with no apologies no warning and integrity. A emotionless and obvious form letter in our email was all we received stating their congratulations for exceeding they're expectations and making more than the program allowed and goodbye. 4 sentences and not a word or contact option since.
CONCLUSION: They provide assistance, they will get you in a home, but the second you receive more on one pay cycle or a difference on a tax refund your nothing. Your not a person of interest, your on your own and they default and lie about their obligations and contractual agreements. They will put you right back in the situation you started in with no compassion or interest. They're integrity is questionable and they're ethics flawed. I would not recommend this program to anyone in similar situations as they promise long-term restorative measures but do not follow thru. As a disable Veteran I'm saddened and hurt by the trust and hope that was given and snatched away leaving my family to struggle with No solutions in sight. The Colorado Attorney General and Colorado Ethics Commission have been notified and a helping my family with legal options. BE WARY.

They really care for and have a heart for veterans. They are helping us get back home. We all know that many of us vets get stuck in the place we last served after getting out and they helped us get home to family and support and love. Thank you so much for all you do for us!! Such a blessing.

Terrible terrible organization. Hire veterans who can help!
You all took me from my previous home, stick me in this apartment and the stove doesn’t work!!!!
What’s up with that?
Oh you say it’s because memory issues?
You want to help
Turn on the stove so I can live like a normal human being.
And maybe I might invite you all to breakfast.

I had a better life, kitchens wise at a nearby homeless shelter.
RMHS sucks!!! A bunch of worthless social workers as far as I’m concerned!

My brother has been receiving help from rmhs but due to surgery had to move in with me case management advised me and him with every excuse possible I didn't know they go out of there way to ignore veterans , I constantly tried to talk to the case manager because my brother takes meds and doesn't remember much I have power of attorney but they wouldn't let me talk to them seems a lil racist but now I'm seeing the many complaints from everyone I see this is there practice will be contacting the bbb consumer etc....

Be weary when trusting ANYONE from this so-called "helpful" organization. They ONLY do what they feel is best for a client WITHOUT taking anyone else's opinion into consideration. They might be quick to offer help but they'll pull the rug from under you JUST as quick. DEFINITELY seek other options BEFORE you have to use these people as a resource.

They were nice but couldn't help with my rent I'm behind on... Neither could Catholic charities... Why? Because I live in OCC, El Paso county. I pay taxes to El Paso county but I don't live in Colorado springs city limits... There is an invisible line... It's very sad... Waiting for eviction...
