A little over a year ago, we moved my mom here from out of state as her health was failing and she agreed she could no longer care for herself. We researched and visited other locations, but the small residential setup allowing for more personal attention, coupled with the compassion and care shown by the staff, made our choice of RMAL in Thornton an easy decision. Melanie and Tina were instrumental in helping us navigate what could've been a daunting process, as this was all so new to us.
And while initially mom had some difficulty accepting this major change in her life, the staff, and especially house manager Brittany, were so terrific in helping her with the transition.
We are so grateful for the care mom has received and credit that with playing a large role in her improved health and quality of life.
We can't say enough positive things about the people who make RMAL a great place for mom to live... from executive management and supervisors to the great facility guys, and especially the amazing women who cook, clean, and care for the residents day in and day out, a huge thank you!!

My mom was transferred to Rocky Mountain Memory Care. She is not an easy resident. She thinks she is just fine. The staff have provided her so much attention that the transition has not been nearly as bad as I expected. The staff has been wonderful and Priscilla, the Resident Care Coordinator, has been amazing , updating me continually with how my mom is doing. I highly recommend this memory care.

My experience at this place was absolutely awful. There was an Indian staff member who made life unbearable for agency staff. At one point, I was accused of not doing my job because I was seen taking out the trash at 5 AM. The truth is, I went above and beyond, making sure every single resident was okay. However, the toxic gossip among some female staff members made working in healthcare a nightmare. This place completely soured my view of the industry.

My mom has been living here for two years and has received excellent, loving care. The staff and management are always available and so helpful. The meals are good and prepared fresh by the staff. The activities director has fun games and things for them to do. The home is kept very clean and well maintained and is a place her friends can to visit in a pleasant atmosphere (now the COVID restrictions are relaxed!) I'm so glad I found this loving facility for my mother.

My 93 year old Mom was a resident at RMAL for 4 months, she had dementia and used a walker all the time. The caring staff was very compassionate, patient and kind to her. They also took the time with our family, to answer so many questions and concerns we had, moving her into a new place during Covid and since we couldn't visit her in person, for a while. They were also very good about keeping us informed about her care. I would highly recommend the Thornton facility to anyone needing a place for their loved one!

My mom was a resident in the memory care side of Rocky Mountain Assisted Living in Thornton for about 1 1/2 years. I can't say enough positive things about this place and the people that work there. We looked at 6 or 7 other places before settling on Rocky Mountain. Over the last 1 1/2 years, I continually think that we absolutely picked the best facility for mom. The smaller house size makes it feel much more like a home which feels so much better than a large, impersonal, "Institution". Residents have their own rooms that are very nicely sized.
The smaller size reduces the risk of exposure to COVID for the residents. The smaller size allows the staff to get to know the residents personally and tailor their care as needed. We have gotten to know most of the people who work there and they know us and are very easy to work with and will accomodate family needs to every extent possible. It is a very nice facility with a nice back patio to allow residents to relax outside (and family, before COVID). Meals are made fresh daily by the staff. The staff is always caring and helplul. There are activities for the residents scheduled daily. Just want to repeat it again: I have been very happy having my mom at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living.

I have had the honor and pleasure of providing end of life care to residents at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living since November of last year, 2021. Each time I visit, I am continually impressed by the staff's love, attention, care and compassion for all of the residents. It’s smaller so there is one on one care and can be attentive to residents. Much better than large memory cares and assisted livings. The building is absolutely beautiful. And the people that work there are outstanding.
