We adopted two kitties ...they are happy in their new home and actually are extremely well behaved and potty trained....the folks at the shelter are very nice and accommodating they loaned us a cat carrier as we only brought one....the kitties were spayed and fully vaccinated and we got their tags....we got both for the 25 dollars it was a great experience and we are very happy with the new babies although they are not siblings and both females their was a bit of a hissing issue but they are warming up to each other ....

I am a new foster there and I have nothing but good things to say about this place so far. Everybody is really friendly and it is very obvious that they love the animals.

Got a different answer each time I call7ed about a potential trap, neuter, release for stray cats. Got our hopes up, trapped one, then we were told basically if they aren't going to a home they'll put them down. P-paws spay and neuter clinic in lenoir city has a program to neuter and release strays.

This is the best Animal shelter around I have adopted from them. So why did I give them a less than perfect score? Because they do euthanize animals , I went to adopt a dog that I saw on their site, and they had put him down because they were over full. Animals have as much right to live as people do... The people are nice ,I just can't justify killing an innocent animal

After my boy Loki's little wife passed away after having seven beautiful puppies on Thanksgiving, parvovirus hit my home and took her & several pups😭, he has been sad and tries to dig out when I leave to go to work. So him and the other male puppy,his son Boo, dug out and we're picked up and I explained the situation to animal control and they were so rude and said if I didn't have the money they would be adopted out in 2 days and I've never been treated so terribly in my life and I only live a mile away. And after this I was made aware of a public post that said they were adopted out on their website with pictures of them and biographies posted to the site. I found the post and explained that this info was false & listed the correct information and asked them to drop this false information they had posted. Because they were perfectly aware of the circumstances and whose dogs they were and who pick them up and still posted the false information. But for one night and a couple hours the next day it cost me almost $150 to pick up my mourning boy and his son. I feel like these people especially Josh in animal control is not trustworthy and I would not leave my animals with him for a second because I would not feel like they were safe at all and everything about it was very very shady. And if you look to this day the post is still up about my boys.
