From someone from the outside looking in, this place appears to be nice and want to help others of the same nationality as their own. Unfortunately, if you are of a different nationality and/or speak a different language, these so called Christians who run the place, will and do treat the person differently and do as far as talking behind your back to the other volunteers. It's really sad to see because Jesus said to love your neighbor and the foreigner and to treat them as you would want to be treated. I truely believe these Christians do not get the true meaning behind this principle. And also I've seen that they help themselves and load up groceries for themselves first and foremost before letting the public come in. It really is a sad situation. 😔

Nice friendly and helpful I went there today for the first time and I loved it I was welcomed by the heat they do things pretty fast three at a time they took time out for me though first time and all but they incurage you to come back not to be shy it's okay and over all it feels like my grandma's old house with her friends going shopping in the gradge from all the things that she got from Betty out of all I would say there are only a few in California that feels comfortable to a point like its family and this is one of those places so if you are hungry no worries come on home they got food for your family.

All the workers are the best and when I fell and busted my hip Brenda and Catherine took my dog and spoiled him he still gets super happy when he sees them That's not the only thing thay have done for me and my dog before I fell Dom. and I were at the creek by the bmx track and someone just let there dog run loose and it attacked Dom. while he was tied to my car well I took him to the Rio Linda Vet. I got them to let me pay her (the Vet) on payday witch was a couple weeks so I went into pay and Vet. said the bill us taken care of saying a couple of people payed the bill I asked who thay wear I was told thay wanted to be anonymous but I figured out it had to be Brenda & Catherine (the food bank) payed the Vet bill let me tell you one more thing that makes these two super women have done for me while I was in the the hospital for 10 days that took time to come and see me everyday so yes the food bank is some special place and any and everyone are in better spirits after visiting.

They give plenty of food to last me through the week if I go Tuesdays and Thursdays a lot more friendly than they used to be complete change over

If it were not for the Rio Linda/Elverta Food closet, and it's volunteers, we would have gone to bed hungry a few times. Thank you so much! You guys are wonderful!
