They are most likely shady, Here is an article the SF examiner wrote on the organization. "SF approves pilot program for controversial organization" It's easy to donate clothes because i'm in a condo but hard to figure out where the clothes end up or if they are are reselling them for profit? I should probably start donating to the local goodwill again.

I have used their box to donate nice clothing and shoes and it is very convenient. The reason for not giving five stars is because they have no information on their website of where their bins are located! I'm trying to refer friends and family to drop off to these bins and there's no list of where they are. I guess they expect people just to drive around and find them? They are really missing out on an opportunity to get more donations if people could easily locate where the bins are.

I accidentally dropped something in one of their bins and called multiple times, left a note on the actual bin and multiple voicemails and messages and they could not care less about returning any of my calls. I assume that’s the same care they place for others and will never donate or use this organization again

I accidentally dropped my phone in one of their units in Cupertino. I called the phone number on their website and left a voicemail, I also emailed them. They never picked up their phone calls but a driver named Pierre called me a day later to help me retrieve the items. Pierre saved my day!

I'm thankful to Recycle For Change for getting back to me on such short notice and to the driver for being so nice about helping me retrieve my item.

They never answer their phone or return emails. We need a box removed and can't get a response after over a month of trying. This operations seems shady. Do not get one of their boxes on your property!

This place is a joke!! It seems I am not the only buisness owner having the same issues. Their donation box has been broken into on my property, the homeless have since broken into my locked property and stolen items from me personally. I have been trying for months to get then to come collect their box. Ridiculous
