We were originally going to try and keep climbing the mountain but it was getting dark and cold quick so we stopped here. It was not a let down! The view is amazing. And when you look below and can see the cars drive on the road way below that was awesome. 10,400+ feet ASL
Does cost $30 to get up the mountain for the park. Well worth it if you like the views. It does take a long time to get up the mountain though so be prepared and the roads are very curvy so be careful and go slow. There are very few guard-rails

This overlook is a little higher up than Many Parks Curve and near the treeline. Views are similar to Many Parks but angles and height are a bit different. It does offer some nice distant views of the Alluvial Fan. There were a pair of classic cars parked there when we arrived.

Very beautiful and popular overlook! Visited Monday 9/9/24 around 3pm. Parking lot almost full with visitors constantly coming and going during my 5-minute stop.

Busiest overlook I encountered. This may be due to timed-entry ended at 2pm. I entered from the west where it was much cooler, so the warmer temps may contribute to the busyness as well.

The view is spectacular! And, there are a few very friendly Uinta/Mountaneer Chipmunks that scurried along the rock wall. I thought one of them was going to jump on me he got so close!

Although it's tempting to want to feed them, please don't for your safety and their survival. 😊

There are other better places for views. The bird is cute.

What a beautiful place to stop and take in the beautiful views. There are accessible bathrooms & a stone retaining wall for taking a restful stop. The charming chipmunks are amusing, but almost tame and unafraid of humans. As tempting as it may be, please don’t feed them human food.

Another high-elevation overlook with a grand view of the mountains, and here, visitors can also see hidden valley below when gazing down from the observation area. Here, golden-mantled ground squirrels can sometimes be seen scurrying on the edges of the slope next to the overlook. At first sight, these ground squirrels may look like chipmunks, and are sometimes (or often) mistakenly called chipmunks. The golden-mantled ground squirrel has similar stripes on its back, but unlike a chipmunk, it’s larger, possesses a shorter tail, and it has no stripes on its head. Keep an eye out for these features if you see these squirrels here or elsewhere in Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is a great stop on your tour of Trail Ridge Road.

They have bathrooms up here and great views.

The altitude is high, and there's no wind protection. As such, it can get very cold and windy up here. So dress appropriately.
