This is my favorite hotel / motel to stay at in Ouray.
- The owners and employees are incredibly friendly
- The rooms are always clean and in good condition
- Breakfast has good options
- It’s within walking distance to the Main Street and the ice park
- Clean laundry facilities that work very well

If you’re going in ice climbing season you’ll inevitably hear some shuffle in the mornings and climbers and guides prep for the day ahead, but that’s unavoidable wherever you stay.

All in all, it’s a great location at a great price and my go-to for Ouray!

Seriously good value and experience.

The staff is excellent. Everyone was friendly and super helpful with whatever we had a question about. The operators and staff put a lot of care into this place and it really shows.

The rooms are very clean and up-to-date. Honestly feels like a higher-starred lodging option, based on the interior. Water pressure is good and gets to temperature quickly. Wifi is strong and good speed.

The included breakfast focused on eggs, sausage, and biscuits/gravy as the pre-made fresh food. There is also a waffle making station, bread selection, and cereal available. The free coffee was plenty fine to start the day.

As others have said, during ice climbing (winter) season, you will hear climber boots on the stairs in the morning. However, it's not all that loud - if we were not waking up ourselves for the same reason, we might not have even noticed! The A/C units make some noise, but no more than in any other standard hotel room with dedicated heating/cooling units. On the subject of sound, the in-room refrigerator is about the quietest I can recall in a hotel of any star rating - I really didn't even notice it at all.

Ouray is a fairly small town to begin with but this hotel is pretty convenient to almost anywhere you'd want to walk. It's less than 30 minute walk into the Ice Park (uphill) fully loaded and less than 8 minutes walking to any in-town restaurant or attraction.

For what we paid, this was an incredible value. Felt way more personal than any other motel style place I've stayed. Again, the folks running this place really care about doing a great job and I think they delivered on it. I will certainly be back.

This was my first time visiting the area. When walking in the office it was very clean, nicely decorated, and smelled nice. The rooms were very clean and smelled nice as well. Hot tubs were clean. Their customer service was excellent everyone was very nice. Had no issues at all. Would definitely come back and stay again!!

Bill and Emily were fantastic in terms of helping with accommodations, excellent breakfasts and suggesting hiking and back country trails in the area. They took a keen interest in making sure we and the friends that stayed in the room next to us were comfortable and to let them know if we needed anything. We figure why stay anywhere else when in the Ouray area.

My first time in Ouray and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the staff and the room at this Quality Inn. The lady at the front desk was super friendly. The room I was in was a nice size with a sofa, mini fridge, microwave, and a nice sized bathroom (also has shampoo/conditioner dispensers). The room was clean...oh, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel is just a block away from the main street and close to Box Canon. Would definitely stay here again.

The lady working the front counter at 8:00am 2/23/25… was not very nice.
Asked for stuff for waffles because there was nothing left for breakfast and said we are out..
then at 9:00am asked when the hot tub was open she said “ maybe a little after 9:30” very bluntly I said okay and went out there at 9:40 and the hot tub was still closed…
She was an overall not nice lady.. but the guy working the counter 2/22/25 at 3:00pm was awesome ! Thank you

We stayed for one night, we chose this hotel as it was one of the more affordable hotels with good reviews. Short walk to Main Street which is a huge plus. Front desk staff were very nice and friendly. Beds were comfy , hotel room was clean. However, we were on the bottom floor and let’s just say be warned. The floors are squeaky and with the herd of elephants above us until 11:30 at night you will be up with them. The door was not sealed so lights came in as well as a lot of light from the front of the hotel. Hot tubs weren’t the cleanest - there was sand at the bottom my guess is from the ground as we were in the one on the bottom not the deck one. They also had debris and stuff floating around which could be because they leave the covers off. Breakfast was mediocre at best - it’s typical low quality hotel food.
