I scheduled a pickup online on August 5, for a pickup today, August 7. Checked the box for 5-12 bags for pickup. I had 3 bed-in-bags, 1 bag of shoes, and 4 table lamps that were each small enough to hold in one hand. I just happened to hear the truck from my backyard, and came to my door, as the man was closing his truck and getting ready
to leave. I noticed that he had left all 4 of the lamps, and asked him why. He said the truck was full, and that I have to wait 3 weeks to donate my lamps!! What I asked him, why I couldn't have been informed of that before I lugged all that stuff to my porch and he just shrugged, and said he was sorry! My brother-in-law is a Vietnam Veteran, as well as my neighbor who had given me the lamps for donation. If I had not caught the driver he was just going to leave with no explanation. He didn't provide a receipt for my donation either. I had to call a 1-800 number in Virginia to get that! I was also trying to complain about the driver, and what he didn't/wouldn't puck up and of course, they don't have ANYTHING to do with that.
I will never use this place again! I was thinking about the convenience of having someone pick up the donations, rather than me having to physically take them to a place, but it looks like I have to do that anyway. I should have read the reviews first!!

Left two pieces of small furniture, a small table top stereo and some beautiful indoor planters behind, and to add insult to injury, the driver left the signs I had marking for VVA littering the driveway. I pulled everything out in the cold and the snow this morning, as instructed. None of the items left behind were listed as being prohibited or not wanted.

My donations bring the organization money! Lots of money! In the last two months I’ve donated about 20 bags/boxes each time, twice. I carefully wrapped and taped and marked everything ensuring top dollar (for the organization). I donated lots of new items - tags still on and in original packaging, and VVA leaves perfectly good items (a sick and frail women moved alone out in the snow) behind and the signs littering the driveway. Unacceptable.

I will not be donating to this organization again.

Picked up 2x in past no problems. Even came inside to help with a twin bed frame. Today left a pickup notice under my items to be picked up that said "Fire Hazard, no proper storage". Just lazy, I was inside. Could've rang the bell and inquired so I can reschedule if anything was amiss. Never again, only 1 time to cross me. Save yourself disappointment., call shelters and daycares and arrange pickup

Seriously, this in not a legitimate organization. I read the reviews, and decided to try it out anyway, but the negative reviews were spot on (never picked up, super shady customer service, with inaccurate information). Please, give to established organizations. Goodwill, ARC, Dress for Success, Denver Rescue Mission.

Driver gave me a lecture on how to “properly pack” items for them, wasn’t helpful at all, wanted odd shaped things like clean, like new shoe racks packed in boxes- good grief- no boxes fit those items. Wanted to scatter items and pick and choose and have me pack them for him. I sent them on their way. All the things we had were very clean and from a pet free and smoke free home and in very good condition. I won’t call them again. If they want things packed a certain way they need to tell folks and don’t send me rude, non veterans who don’t speak English well enough to discuss.

This place is a lie, They don’t give these donations to veteran families in need. This is a high priced goodwill. I will not be donating here anymore. They are very rude as well. Not helpful at all.

This place is a joke nowhere on this building says anything about DAV!!!!!! My father is a veteran and is 92 years old. The people in store knew nothing about this being a DAV donation center only that it is a thrift store despite the DAV trucks parked in their fence. Had to use shopping carts to unload everything we had. Sad very sad this isn't even going to vets and their family's another was to rip people off and make money off of them. Terrible business!!!!!! Very disappointed
