Every single morning I wake up and cry to myself because I went into debt and wasted years of my life going here and now am forced to either complete it or bask in the fact I wasted money and my life. This school has quickly gone downhill. They’re clearly pushing to be fully online with very little staff or support to save costs. Professors here all work full time jobs and this is their 2nd job meaning they don’t really pay to much attention to their students. You can never get ahold of advisors, deans, tutors or professors. They claim to have a bunch of resources yet never actually offer them. Professors also aren’t monitored and so they can just teach any which way they’d like leading to a lot of really lazy and bad course designs. You will constantly find yourself answering a correct question on a test only to get it wrong then find out it was a professor mistake. You will constantly find yourself begging for an advisor to help out or a professor to actually respond to your emails. It’s just a never ending nightmare!

If you’re a reading this, do yourself a favor and reconsider attending PC before it’s too late!

Phoenix College is amazing. It is the epitome of what a Community College should be. Great and caring staff and faculty. The campus is gorgeous and in a very convenient location. You won't regret learning and growing here.

This “schools” a joke. They offer no in person classes anymore. I’ve been here a year, STILL haven’t gotten an academic advisor assigned to me. If I want to speak with an advisor, I get a generic student that just handles the hotline. Unlike EVERY OTHER UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE, they will not give you an advisor that checks up with you regularly. Also, if you need answers in a timely manner such as financial aid, don’t expect it. Financial aid gives you your aid package with less than a month until classes start. So basically you have no answers if you can even pay with school until classes have already. This place acts like it’s a prestigious 4 year college while offering the worst administration and experience they can offer cause they’re too busy penny pinching. Take your money and invest in your future somewhere else because all this school will do is ruin it

I had a great experience with the chemistry department here they were very involved in wanting you to learn and understand the material. It made an otherwise difficult subject enjoyable to learn.
My biggest problem is with some of the advisors. They either act like they don't want to be here or don't answer your questions.

The histology advisor in particular here was horrible to the point of my losing interest in the program and others at Phoenix College completely. He looked bored, said little to nothing except it's competitive. "How long are the externships here?" Him "it's competitve." Me, "is there a waiting list?" Him, "it's competitive." Me, "are there evening classes available? " him, "it's competitive."
He only talked more when his friends came by.
If you don't want me to attend, just say so. I tried to look at this program twice to get any questions answered. I mean, any questions. Both times, it was him, and I was like, "Well, nothing is going to be answered."

Try to do as much as you can online. Visiting the campus this summer is pointless. They're running on a skeleton crew. One person named Susan was trying to work three stations at the same time and seemed to be running the whole show. Apparently office people won't be returning to the office until July or August. Despite the lack of a line it still took 45 min. to get one thing done. If you decide to go in, don't expect to be in and out quickly.

I used to love this school & how it was set up but now I hate it! Trying to get in touch with an advisor is pointless. Even if you have simple question/s they still make you make an appointment my “ advisor.” Was booked out so they wanted me to schedule a meeting after two weeks. ATP i just made an appointment with someone else and the closet availability is next Tuesday-.- I miss when they actually had people available on the spot. ALSO you have to make your own appointment the people at the desk won’t help they will just tell you to scan the QR code and do it yourself.

While the school has been established for decades, the facilities are in remarkable shape. The Gym floor is redone and looks great!

Campus opened back up this fall semester 2021. An affordable college with some really good professors. I wish i started taking classes earlier. I encourage anyone thinking about it to call, email or go in person to sign up for any classes. Take one or more classes. The online classes are convenient and you can learn a lot of you apply yourself.
