I took my boat out after it had been sitting for a while, and it 'died' right after I launched it (115 Yamaha outboard). I got back to the ramp, and as I pulled it on to my trailer, I saw Phil sitting in his truck. Having spoken with a couple of the more 'formal' repair places earlier that day, the turn around time from those I spoke with was 3 weeks. I asked Phil if I could drop it by, and he said 'no problem.' I took it to his place, met his son Eric, and they were able to diagnose my problem in no time. I got my boat back in 9 days. They replaced my water/fuel separator, my aerator, my bilge pump line was a mess, so they replaced that, and my trim/tilt was leaking, so they fixed that too, along with an oil change and 'yearly' service.. The price was FAR less than I would have received at the other larger repair places and Eric took the time to explain to me all the work they did and what I should look for between now and the next time I bring it in (for my YEARLY service, which I have neglected, but will now be doing religiously). I have heard from Eric that his dad might be retiring soon, but Eric is going to open his own facility, so I will definitely be using him in the future. They were honest fair, competent, thorough, and accessible in terms of communication and availability. Thanks a bunch Eric and Phil. See you in a year!

Second time I have used them for my Boat repairs! Phil and Eric are great people! They do excellant work! Did a few extra's that I didn't point out without charging me! EX: Saw I had minimal damaged my prop. They filed it down it so would not cause drag on my engine. Highly recomend them!

I called on a Sunday evening to the phone number listed on his website. I planned on leaving a message so that I could get a return call first thing Monday morning. He answered his business phone, I was surprised he did and I mentioned it. I spoke to him about repairing our yahama outboard motor and he said to bring it by. My husband wanted to see if it was possible to bring it by tonight (since we both had work in am). He said yes bring it by. When we arrived my husband apologized first thing for calling him on a Sunday, but said we appreciated him doing this. He was rude and said gruffly that he made the mistake of answering the business phone. Then he gave attitude and said that it would be a minimum of a week before he would even look at it (did NOT say that on the phone). When my husband hesitated about leaving it there that long without even being looked at, he became angry and said that there was a lot he needed to do it before he could even get look at the problem so it was going to be a while, then when my husband said we didn't want to leave it sitting without even being looked at for that long, he said just leave and thanks for wasting my time. He says on his website that he opened his own shop to raise the bar and be a better mechanic for customers and it is all about his customers, however, he was rude and short with us and he did not seem to want our business at all.

I paid him $ 450.00 and my boat never ran any better than when i brought it to them, when the boat back it had a big scratch on one side and two nasty dings through the gel coat into fiberglass on the corner of the transom, it looked like he hit something.
