Husband took his vehicle here as it was under warranty, and this shop accepted the warranty upon replacing the transmission and other important engine compartments. Their mechanic’s work was faulty and when asked to correct the faulty work (which was “discovered” the 3rd time they looked at my vehicle for the transmission once again) David pointed fingers at my husband and questioned who had been working on the vehicle when their shop was the only shop he had taken the vehicle to since owning the vehicle and never were any of the problems reported to us today. The first time they resolved the transmission it failed after driving 3 miles from the shop. This is now the 3rd transmission within 19k miles of driving it that is now done for. This is not the place to trust with your vehicle.

Phil’s Car Care rescued me when my car stopped running on the freeway while I was passing through Houston. They helped me rent a car, diagnosed my problem and had me back on the road quickly. Everyone was so kind and professional. They turned a stressful day into a pleasant experience. If I lived a little closer, they would be my new mechanic. Well done!

Ima be completely honest I literally neeeevver write a review seriously but this shop played me and idk if it’s because income tax season or what but I got my car Diagnosed for AC not working in my 2016 Buick lacross they found it was a hose to compressor quote was close to $1300 basically… I said waaay too much for a ac hose replacement so then I asked how much for just diagnosing it then they started off $450 with a side grin knowing it was way too high for Dye to be put in ac system to locate leak ofcourse they informed me diagnostics are waived if given the job I respect that but then went down to $160 I immediately paid and then left and got quotes other places for the issue in hand went to CMC on 1960 humble they quoted $900 cheaper but still felt like it was a little too high then went to DT auto repair also on 1960 charged $95 for diagnostic and they checked came with same outcome the hose but charged me $650 with warranty good wholesome family owned business I like the ladies upfront at Phil’s for give me wrong nice ladies they were pretty koo but I feel like this shop over priced for the working men out of pocket they are stuck on insurance claimed quotes i believe.. I can’t judge there work but can definitely tell you they are waaay over priced I now got my AC blowing snowballs for literally half the price and warranty which Phil does offer warranty as well but i definitely would not recommend AT ALL maybe if you have a insurance claim or just a lot of money laying around

I found this repair shop in my AAA app and made an online appointment for 7/3 late in the morning the day before. I wasn’t expecting an appointment anytime soon, but got one for the day and time I requested, which I was pleasantly surprised. When I got there, the place was packed with cars (that's a good sign) but there was only one customer waiting in the office. Turned out that due to different personal emergencies with staff, there was only one technician (Carlos) and the receptionist (Jessica). I needed a brake job and even though it was the only place I got an estimate from, I decided to stay because: (1) I was already there and (2) the estimate seemed fairly priced for the job (I checked for an average estimate before I made the appointment). I didn’t have a way to get home so I waited in the office. I'm used to going to larger repair shops that have shuttles to take me home and I figured this job would take at least 4-5 hours. I got my car within 3 hours. Jessica was very friendly, professional and was very apologetic for the time it took to get my car done. I had my phone and a power bank to charge it, as I was expecting to wait a long time, so I didn't mind. Carlos was a rock star and did an excellent job. As a previous reviewer (Belinda Shelly) said, he deserves a case of beer and then some. It's so nice to drive my car now that the brakes have been done. No more squeaking or pumping when the car is stopping. I'm glad I found a place close by and will continue coming here for all my car repair needs. Thank you so much!

I paid a total cost including tax and discount ($609.31) to pick up my car today after I thought had a starter issue because auto Zone (Porter) said my battery was good month ago after an oil change shop told me it would need to be changed soon . So when my husband said my car wouldn't start immediately and took several attempts yesterday morning. I took it in for them to change the starter. So when I heard the cost I thought they had fixed starter only to discover at pick up that they charged me to system check digital and visual inspection ($145), to remove and replace battery ($98.60) and a new 36 mths warranty on battery ($289.83). This is ridiculous I have never paid this much for change of battery. Also my car bonnet wasn't even closed properly and I had to shut it myself when i got to my destination. I have the pictures to prove it but i can't be bothered to post it! Shame Phil Car Care I am done! I am done giving them my 2015 Ford car or my husband's 2017 Ford car unless it to go for the warranty on work already done in the past on them. I am looking for a new mechanic today!
