I am an animal lover. I went to look at the local animal shelter - Pal Valley. What an incredible staff! The love they have for animals is quite evident. I was so moved by their commitment to stray and abandoned animals, I gave them a donation and plan to continue. Please adopt, don't shop.

I had lost my pug a month ago and got a message she was put here. I drove an hour away for them to tell me that I have to pay the high adoption fee which is $200 just because she was there an extra day from the adoption policy. They want me to adopt my own dog. They kept on insisting for the $250. For me, they made it seem like they care more about money than reuniting our pets with their owner. That’s just ridiculous.

I got a puppy not too long ago. They didn't tell me anything about his medical history except that he was given a parvo shot and had been checked for misbehavior. Not only was the pup not way too thin I noticed he was always sleeping and when he was awake seemed like he wanted to through up but couldn't. I take him to the vet and I was told he was running a fever, had breathing issues, upper respiratory infection, and hookworms, but I am doing what I can to get him healthier
