It's sad Longmont only has the our center for outreach help. They only help the same unemployed people.. people who work and are struggling get turned away. I thought it was a community center for all local residents. Our community donates to them. You would think that a person could get help. They left me with no utilities and told me I had to wait a month before they could even talk to me.. not help but talk. I told them I couldn't go that long without utilities. They didn't even care. What happened to the our center that was in a little house, with workers dressed in t shirts, and jeans, helping the people at the time of emergency. Now they have a huge facility all dresses in suits and professional clothing taking money from our community and not helping the people anymore. By the way they canceled my appointment for help. Because I voiced this. So now I got no help. How would one go above them to get resolutions.

I went in yesterday to eat because it's the end of the month and sure enough I had someone behind me that probably had urine all over them smell like piss dirty smelly I don't know how line staff even let him through. Some of those Hispanic ladies are pretty mean but I wish they'd take some of their meanings out on this older white people that actually don't bathe I bathe and the Old gentleman to smell like piss and alcohol but they still let him in. I was going to say something but that should be the job of the people behind the counter I don't even know how they let him in every day he comes in drunk smelling of urine. My thought is to put them in the room with one of the other line stuff there maybe the manager and they can eat together and then that way they know what I'm talking about. It's a health hazard. Ever since Sandy left that places went downhill there's no decency at all in there.

STOP believing everything the OUR Center churns out to the media and any of you who donate $$$$ and time, y'all seriously need to get feedback from the community instead of taking what the admins at the OUR Center say at face value. The OUR Center turns away a lot of individuals in need but they nonstop keep asking for money. I seriously don't understand how the people who run the OUR Center are able to sleep at night.

Great place if you’re undocumented, although No household. Dog food once a month in morning, rotten vegetables, and just expired crap. 3 hours wasted and will look for community resources elsewhere. They prefer to help those here that aren’t citizens so if you are, great place to get extra stuff

I gave a friend a ride, because she needed to get some food from the food pantry. It was my first time there. I was impressed with how clean it was and how nice all the volunteers were. There were almost 30 people in line ahead of my friend, but the line moved efficiently. She was able to get plenty of food for her family. If you'd like to help those in need, donate time, clothing, diapers, or food here!

I only added a star because it's required otherwise I'd put a negative. These people are the picture of false advertisement. You can only qualify for them if you are in a specific district of the County they're based in yet they advertise nationally, statewide and county wide. If you happen to be in their district be prepared to provide them plenty of proof you belong and if you're homeless there's extra hoops to jump thru by having to go thru a different place to be qualified to get to this place. Good luck! Don't bother calling them with questions either, you'll be treated about as good as recycled newspaper ads.

OUR Center helped me out so much in 2004-2006. I appreciate the way they provided immediate help without a lot of questions. They were like, if you need help, we will help you. Their lunches are delicious. I am so grateful to them for helping me when I was down.
