I joined this group with my best friend only last week and it has been amazing! We saw this group at Pride and ever since then we put it on our bucket list to join this group. The second we walked in we felt safe and we felt welcomed. People walked up to us and told us how things worked and we were so overwhelmed with the love from anyone. There was so much laughing and happiness and not one sad moment happened. This week, people shared coming out stories and we were all there to support each other.

I think what makes this group amazing is no matter what mood you are going into the group, you always come out happy. There are so many enthusiastic people that make you smile and you can just be yourself and no one will judge you. This group makes me feel safe and happy and I love this group and the people in it so much. When my best friend and I leave, we already want to go back. I am so happy I joined this group and I really want more people to join.

I once thought this was a nice place for everyone to be themselves but that quickly changed when they told me and my boyfriend that we can't hang out there anymore because us being "straight" made everyone uncomfortable. They told us we can only go there for food and clothes and that we can't play on the xbox. We were being ourselves in a place where they said "everyone can be themselves" and we got punished. I also won a housing voucher here but as soon as I got excepted into an apartment and was waiting to pick up the keys, they told me that my voucher has expired. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you suppost to put an extension on the voucher till you see if you got approved or not? I got approved and I told them by email and text messege that all im waiting for is for them to tell me when i can pick up the keys. But they never replied to me. Take into account that me and my boyfriend were homeless at this time and they were well aware of this. I just don't understand what we did wrong. They kick us out because we're straight then take away our only chance of getting a home.

This is a wonderful organization with lots of great programs for youth. The leaders are genuinely kind, supportive and caring and the variety of programming that they offer is really fun and enriching. I only hope that they will begin to offer permanent locations in other cities around the valley like Mesa and Chandler. Until then it is wonderful that they have satellite groups all over the valley. This is a great place for kids to spend time and a fun and drug-free environment.

My daughter and her friend have been going to Onenten West since June of this year (2016). From the moment we walked in we knew that we had found a safe, caring and fun environment for them to be in. A place where they could hear much needed positive feedback and be just be themselves without fear. They are able to talk about fun things like comics and very serious ones like the Orlando tragedy. Each week I see these kids come home happy and empowered. Each week I am thankful that this program exists!

The only reason I did not give five stars is because two fantastic group leaders, Avi and Mr. English, recently accepted positions out of state. Wonderful for them, sad for us. My hope is that the new leadership of this group can maintain the warm and caring environment we have experienced thus far. Best of luck to them as teens can be challenging! 😉

I can truly say I might not be here today if I had not had OneNTen in my life when I did.
So many resources, wow. The staff? Yes. All of it, yes. I learned so much about myself and the community, and was, really, treated like family. I went to different locations (this was 6 or so years ago, as of a few years ago I’ve definitely “aged out”) and became friends and acquaintances with many fellow trans people, queer people, and artists from all over. I got help with healthcare services, education, HOUSING, financial help, free std testing, counseling, hygiene products, food, clothes, the list goes ON and ON. OUTdoors camp brought me out of a deep depression, as well. Being able to see a world where safety and self-assuredness felt possible, attainable, and non-negotiable at a time when I knew no one, nothing, and had only experienced isolation and worry for my future...I mean, talk about eye opening. I discovered a lot about myself through OneNTen. This place, these people, changed my life. I am so, so incredibly grateful. Thanks y’all 🙂

I can't possibly put into words how much I love this organization. I firmly believe that there are no words in the english language that could adequately describe how incredible these people are. They're very welcoming and so supporting that I'd say every youth should come here if they can. I can only hope that one day, I'll be able to finally give back to this organization whether it be through donations or whatever.
