We made an appt to go in and meet a dog whose photo we had seen on their website...the dog was super shy, but the center was accommodating and let us stay a good amount of time so the doggie came around and we ended the visit with him laying down between myself and my roommate, with the dog's head resting on my foot. And that was that. We decided, if he'd take us, which it seemed he would, our home would be his forever home. Adopting a senior dog can be expensive, but as a forever foster home, for Old Friends, Senior Dog Sanctuary, his medical needs are all addressed without cost to the forever foster! What an incredible thing! We get a dog to love and give love to, and feel the joy of giving a senior dog a stable, loving, safe, fun home for the duration of his or her life, AND we don't have to worry about medical costs. This place is wonderful for absolutely everyone involved!!! Check it out!!!!

Hi! I have had 2 old friends in the past year! They have taught me love is about quality of life over the quantity of time they have with us. It has been deeply enriching to forever foster animals from this rescue organization. They have so many resources from physical therapy to a medical dept. i love being able to have sleepovers with these geezers and not having to worry about prescription diets. The medical dept has such great vet techs and Doctors taking care of your babies. As a vet tech myself, Emily and Alx are so good to touch base with in regards to scheduling and appts, they are very knowledgeable about senior pets and so personable. I always feel at ease when working with them about my geezer! In the front office Susan is always so friendly and willing to help you with questions! I anticipate taking many more of these babies home in the future thanks to the amazing support staff!

Ive tried calling, emailing, and social media. No one ever responds or contacts you back. This place is a scam. No one physically works there and they have zero intrest in helping people or dogs find there perfect companion. Do not donate to them your wasting there money.

I love volunteering with the dogs here. It makes me so happy seeing them live somewhere they are loved and adequately cared for. The staff here truly love every dog that comes through their doors and it shows in both the dogs and in their helpfulness and friendliness with volunteers and visitors.

I have volunteered since July 2022. Delighted to accompany my boyfriend on a tour…he lives in North Carolina. Of course he believes in OFSDS’s mission and has become an annual donor. We LOVE our Senior Dogs!

I was visiting friends nearby and after following them on facebook, I was looking forward to the tour they host. I am so impressed with their operation. Everyone is extremely kind and you can tell how much they care about the animals. The dogs are so well cared for that when I lost my own dog, I dropped off things I hoped they could use, because it takes amazing people to care and do so much for the older dogs. If I lived in the area I would be volunteering to help in some capacity. I was able to see the plans for the new location and I can't wait to visit later this year to see them up and running in the new facility. It was fun that during the tour you could interact with a few of the dogs and I appreciate all the work they do.
