Many reviewers have praised the theater for its great setting for regional plays, the cast's ability to pull in actors who have been on Broadway, and the overall quality of the performances.

Some reviewers have noted that the theater is a great place for shows, and that the staff and cast members are the very best.

One reviewer recently saw a production of Roger's & Hammerstein's "Cinderella" and described it as a "fantastic show" that they truly enjoyed, with a standing ovation for the cast.

Overall, it seems that Oak Ridge Playhouse is a highly regarded and enjoyable venue for live performances.

I went to see the 25th Annual Putnam Spelling bee and was just amazed at the production. The lighting, live band, and amazing cast was just mind blowing. I have never had such a great of an experience in a show. Oakridge Playhouse this was a star show, and I can't wait to see another. I actually bought tickets for two more nights of this show after visiting, and I told everyone I knew to see this amazing cast and show.
I hope more shows hold up to this quality, I cannot wait to be back!

The playhouse is wonderful. Everything we've seen in the last 2 years has been excellent. However, the most recent offering, NINE, was not. Well, you can't win them all, and I'm sure the next offering will be outstanding again.

We really enjoyed the show. Went and saw Joseph and the Technicolored Dream Coat. The only detractor was the very tall person who sat in front of us and kept moving his head side to side blocking a large portion of our view.

As huge Dickens fans, we were super excited to see "Oliver". While the cast deserves a much higher rating for superb acting/singing, we were disappointed at the immodesty. A couple of costumes were extremely revealing, making it awkward for patrons. We noticed some having to look away and even stare at the floor, particularly during scenes that featured and even focused on the character Nancy. Totally unexpected since this was put on by Jr. Playhouse. This issue, coupled with suggestive humor, were completely unnecessary, as is with so much of the theater/film industry today. Furthermore, this is inconsistent with the works of Dickens, as they were not explicit. Cleaned up, this would be a wonderful production and would appeal to a larger population of attendees.
