Nyland Community Assosiation is also known In some circles as Nyland Cohousing, is located a short eight miles east and right outside of the city of Boulder, Colorado. Surrounded by open space and rural areas, the surrounding area provides a breathtaking view that is worth even a trip or drive through just to see. This community is multi-generational and they focus primarily on community building, not the arcitechual design of building a community, but building a community in the hearts and minds of its residents and families. Everyone at Nyland's Cohousing Community Assosiation participates in community work, landscaping, tasks, errands and chores. They also consider themselves very progressive in the sense that they are (or at least consider themselves to be) enironmentally conscious. This is a community built on strength, unity, happiness, and a celebration of life together. If you were traveling to this Community Center via car, you could easily get directions sent to your GPS by typing in the address and just driving. But let's say your less lucky and wanted to arrive at Nyland's via public transportation, there are three bus stops near this community. They are as listed: Baseline Rd & Nyland Way, Lafayette, CO 80026, 8400 Block Baseline Rd, Colorado 80303 & Baseline Rd & Elgin Dr, Lafayette, CO 80026. It is a short distance walking to this community or into this community from ANY of these bus station locations and they all convienently surround this community. The 225 (Lafayette PnR) 225D (Diamond Circle 225 Lafayette PnR) and 225T (express/direct or selective stop bus route for rush hours & peak operations hours) bus routes service this community as far as public transportation goes, those routes and those routes ONLY. That being said it is an extremely secluded neighborhood, fairly far away from any other forms of civilization. I want to rate this place 5 stars, but it ALMOST seems to good to be true and something In my gut is telling me there is way more then meets the eye going on at Nyland's. Now whether this is a good or bad thing is entirely up to your perception of what is good, bad, holy, evil. It all depends on your morals and where they lay. I'm no one to say I suspect anything in particular, because I suspect literally nothing more then this placed/community being more then meets the eye. Unsure if that should push them up or down in rating, so I will give them a solid 4 stars.

Cohousing for the wealthy. With housing prices in the $700k range, this isn't about community as much as it is being separated from those who are middle-class/poor. The equivalent of liberals that talk about a better community while being completely tone-deaf to the struggles of middle-class/poor.

This is the cutest community. They have rentable electric cars, communal events at the common house, and a community garden. Fairly cheap housing and nice neighbors. Great community.
