*UPDATE* The last time I went here I was given food that was incompatible with my dietary needs, even after I explained the medical/health necessity. I am Muslim, so I also have religious preferences which were completely ignored (no pork). It's unfortunate that this happened because the service was pretty good at first, but the quality is obviously declining.** I have been going here to get food for a few months now, so I can give an unbiased review. We have been relying on Nourish Now to help us get through the month because my Saudi prince husband works in the US Army and he isn't here right now, so we're basically living in poverty. One of the best things about Nourish Now is that they do their best to accommodate food allergies and other dietary restrictions. That's important for me because I'm Muslim, diabetic, and I have a couple of food sensitivities. There was only one time where I had an issue with the food because they gave me several items containing pork and there were several gluten containing items, but I called and spoke to Paisley who was apologetic, agreeable, and helped me arrange another appointment. They give a good mix of fresh and nonperishable items, with sweets included (which I literally need to live! 🎂🍬🍭🍪😆).Our interactions are always pleasant when we visit and I must say that they're probably the best food pantry in the area. 💯

A large cake was delivered to us by mistake - free and unopened. We called the bakery to correct the error and they told us to keep it. I guess if we had a large family this would be a great thing but my husband and I were a bit bewildered. The last thing we wanted was to waste this cake. We were desperately searching Google, looking for a place on a Friday night that was open for donation. We found and cold-called Nourish Now - the only food pantry we could find with an off-hours phone number. Thanks to the founder (who personally answered the phone, and drove over to pick up the cake) this beautiful cake will find its way to people who can enjoy it. I will sleep better tonight knowing that this wonderful organization exists trying to bridge the gap between food waste and hunger. A HUGE THANK YOU to you and your team!

I love Nourish Now! Not only do they give you good quality foods, plus catered items from restaurants, they give you fresh flowers from Trader Joe's!!! I always come home and make the most beautiful flower arrangements and I have at least a week's worth of food for the family. Keep up the good work!!!

We volunteer here on Monday afternoons, packing "Recovered food" into bags or boxes, to be distributed in the community. It's not about praise for us it's about helping those in our community that may not be as fortunate as we have been.

Everyone is so very nice and it's welcoming to see a smiling face. Unlike Manna where you have to wait in line when you call for a food pickup they give you an available appointment. This allows them to concentrate totally on you and you're in and out after filling out a monthly form which takes all of 2-3minutes. The food is always good and I noticed donated by Trader Joe's Wegmans. There are plenty of snacks, cookies and cakes to choose from and you can take as many as you need. This month I received 2 steaks, chicken drumsticks, Angus beef hotdogs and a small roast. I also got eggs.fruit, potatoes, bagels etc.and and though I still go to Manna I prefer them so much more!

This is a program designed to help individuals and their families who are finding it difficult to meet their monthly food allowance. There are many people that are a mere dollar above the maximum amount allowed in order to receive assistance from many government programs. These people are often left without food, prescriptions, rental assistance, utility assistance, gas money, cell phone bills, vet costs, child care, appropriate work attire, dental care and the list goes on. Nourish Now supplements an individual or family's need for food. You can come one time per month and the items you receive are canned goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meat, milk, eggs, cereal, juice, bread, prepared deli meats, macaroni, water and soda products to name a few. Out of all of the pantries, this one has the most diverse selection of food one receives as opposed to the standard "box" you may get from other places. It's never crowded, kind of hard to find the first time, very limited parking, it is located in an industrial area that resembles storage units side by side and you must walk a considerable amount for anyone who suffers from mobility issues or uses a wheelchair or Walker. But, do not worry. They will gladly bring your items to you and load them in your car. But if you do that you will miss out on always being greeted with a smile by their friendly and knowledgeable staff. The people who work here do so because it makes them feel good to help those in need. They have compassion, respect and realize that most people living in Montgomery County are one pay check away from being self sufficient to being the person in need. Nourish Now has even given out items like toiletries or floral bouquets because they realize the importance of sometimes getting the little extras in life and the emotional value it brings to a person who has lost some direction in life and has had to make some very difficult changes that are unfamiliar, scary and confusing. They have informative brochures, answer your questions and are always polite. They are way and above the "compassionate level" one expects when dealing with a food pantry. These people care. And it shows.

This is an excellent non-profit organization that helps contribute food to those that are having a hard time financially. Unfortunately, my family and I are in that financial category right now. I have been to other similar non-profit food organizations, but Nourish surpasses them all. All the food was fresh. The produce lasted more than a few days, unlike other organizations that I have been to.
Also, ALL the staff that helped me were extremely nice and compassionate. They even carried the food out to my car.
Pamphlets and paperwork that could possibly help my family in other ways during this hard time in life we're available, as well.
PLEASE donate to this charity if you are able to. They really make a difference in the lives of people that have hit a hard time in life.

I am a volunteer here I come in when I can. I love giving my time to an organization that helps anyone in need. So far so great, update 11/5/2020 the volunteer organizer is very unprofessional, kept asking me if I could come in and I’d tell her I would let them know what days I’d want to come in, next thing she blows up on me saying I just can’t stop by randomly When in reality she always asked me to come in that day on short notice and if I was free I’d say ok, and that I had a smart mouth for saying “I promise you’ll be the first one I’ll let know when I have time to volunteer” I was being nice and got attacked. This is not the way to keep dedicated volunteers to keep coming back, btw they wait till the food is expired and throw it away instead of giving it away before it expires weeks in advanced. I wouldn’t recommend you volunteer here if you want to be treated right because you’re giving your precious free time to help a good cause.
