I've known about New Pathways for over 3 years and was really impressed listening to the youth talk about their experiences. I was so moved that I became a mentor last year. I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say I've learned so much about myself and from my youth about what it's like growing up as a youth today. The staff has been so supportive giving me the tools that I need to help my youth. He gave me his student ID from his freshman year in August and said he has 3 more for me. Can't wait to see him graduate from high school and follow his dreams. This is a life changing process that I would recommend to anyone that wants to get to know yourself and give back to a youth that needs someone to talk to and see what's possible.

NPFY has such a special place in my heart. I have been a mentor for a year and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. You come in thinking that you are making an impact in someone’s life, which you most definitely are, but also suddenly realize that your life is being changed by your own mentee and the teachings of the curriculum. I see life differently and also see the change in my mentee. She is more focused, vulnerable and willing to have hard conversations. I would recommend all teens to join this program and anyone who is yearning to make a difference in this world to volunteer as a mentor.

I love New Pathways! It’s such a warm-hearted organization that truly cares about uplifting teens’ futures despite the manty obstacles keeping them from succeeding. The staff are so loving, compassionate, and genuine.
