The scenery on the way to the location, including the hill trail, is beautiful. I recommend visiting before the autumn leaves fall. The hiking trail is relatively easy.

This is a beautiful easy hike. With various levels of trails and unlimited views of the lake and wildlife. While you do have to realize parking is an issue, it's worth it. The lot is tiny. Just plan on an extra 1 mile walk as the neighborhood is not parking friendly. Especially on weekends! Seriously went an hour before dusk on a rainy day.

Very well-kept-up--a credit to Ross. Wonderful fire roads and hiking trails. Cyclists are polite and considerate.
Be sure to read the monument commemorating the recent purchase of the remaining open space on Bald Hill (see photo).

Great place for amateur technical trail runs. Watch for unleashed dogs whose owners think their pets can do no harm, rattlesnakes and poison oak. The shaded, narrow trail above the lake is great. The main road can be dusty and hot.

Very nice place to start a hike to Lake Lagunitas. Parking fills up by 8ish on the weekends in the summer.
