An amazing organization! The staff is very small, and works extra hard to provide resources to the community. Volunteers contribute much time to assist the staff and community. We are fortunate to have NAMI Colorado Springs. The need in the area of mental health has been exploding, and I appreciate every effort that NAMI puts forth.

Staffed with wonderful, compassionate people. They provide resources by phone, along with brochures and pamphlets. Free classes for caregivers of those living with mental illness. Support groups for those living with mental illness and support groups for family members. Extensive library of books to check out on a wide variety of topics. NAMI does a tremendous amount of training and community outreach. If you're looking for resources and support regarding mental illness, NAMI Colorado Springs is the place to go!

I was desperately looking for help. Found NAMI and called them. They offered me Support Group weekly that I went to. Then found out about classes and took the Family To Family 12 week course which taught me more about Mental Illness than I ever knew! Then I took the Mental Illness First Aide Course and learnt more! I can now help others with a mental illness. Most of all, I learned about empathy and what the person is dealing with on their side. Recommend everyone who knows someone with a mental illness to call and get in classes and a support group! Thank You NAMI!!

To Whom It may Concern: I have left messages and emails, and I am still being left in the dark. Until my case is approved which I should've never been removed. I am fighting tooth and nail to contact someone that takes mental health seriously. I have contact ATU through Spanish Peaks, I am back in their system. I am currently taking medication, and I do not having any sustainable housing. They also advised me to get on the Waiting list through the Housing Authority. I don't know how long it will take for me to get some responses/answers instead of hearing false hope. Please if anyone is there?

Right now, I am diagnosed with Schlerosis of the back, and anxiety, along with my Learning Disorder that has the biggest impact, and without housing until my AND pulls through with what is sustainable without states regulations. Justice and Compensation, Housing is urgent.

I've contacted the hospital where my Mother passed away at. The last time before she was admitted before the last time, the staff at the hospital put me in the Guest House. How can I obtain housing without my financial help through DSS, or SSA.

If you are looking for place to donate to: Do not try NAMI. We called multiple times, and when we wren't put on voicemail, we had to send a message to the secretary. All of those messages never got through.
