"It Should be known, I was told they do not accept children who are taking any sort of prescribed mood stabilizing medication." THIS IS NOT TRUE. I was a resident at MSCH and I was prescribed a mood stabilizing medication and other residents were to, and if your parents are not willing to buy it the House parents will. MSCH takes good care of the children, sure it can be hard to adjust to it in the beginning, but the house parents make you feel welcomed and so do the staff. I recently graduated about 2 months ago, so don't judge if you never been there.

Should be known, I was told they do not accept children who are taking any sort of prescribed mood stabilizing medication. Which is quite surprising, considering the population that they claim to treat/ help.

I was there when I was 7-8 years old.
It is a terrible place I was beat with a pingpong paddle when they left me a church when I fell asleep in the church one night .. my brother was beat for not putting his robe on because, he could not find it for nightly prayers. My sister and her room mate was beat for buying to much candy with there weekly money. My siblings and my self were being adopted out from under my mom with out here every knowing.. my Great aunt found out one day where they came up for family day and meat some people that was to be our adopted parents. We were there to be safe during my moms and Dads separation and we were put right in to a lions den..

This is a great group of people doing great things to help kids. They hosted the ColoRODans Rod Run at their neighborhood-like facility. The kids were very courteous and helpful with setup and clean up. Everyone had a wonderful time.
