It's a small place at the edge of a housing development, where the walking path might be just under a 1/4 of a mile consisting of dirt and wooden boardwalk sections. Once you start the path , you are almost immediately in nature giving you views of the Baywood area of Los Osos, the town of Morro Bay and its famous rock and stacks.

Fantastic place to walk along some short, well maintained trails and observe a small slice of natural beauty. You can see Morro Rock across the bay and Baywood Park across the inlet. You can see birds, deer, bunnies, and raccoons, among many others, on your walk. Stay quiet and on the trails, and your experience will be a delight. The animals are used to people quietly enjoying the area. It's open from dawn to dusk.

A short cute stroll (where I swear we saw little sharks. Fins at least right by the shore) that adds to the overall relaxing appeal of Morro Bay. The trains are no pets allowed and not always stroller friendly. But it’s nice to spent 20-30 minutes by yourself, with little ones or with family. Be aware. There is poison oak. It’s labeled. But still. Be aware.

This was a very quick walk from our Inn, right after dinner and/or morning coffee. If you are in the area, it's a must-visit. Don't miss the sunset from their viewing platform! Totally worth the short walk...

Very gorgeous little spot. Very nice spot to watch the sunset. There always seems to be plenty of birds to look at if you happen to like birdwatching. It has 2 wooden lookout points on either end with places to sit and very awesome view points. There is a nice wooden bridge in the middle that is great for taking pics on. All while having numerous other wooden benches to enjoy watching the tide come in and out or enjoy the sunset or sunrise or perhaps some of the beautiful birds. Best part for me is that it is located right around the corner from where I live.

A small preserve that is great for birding. Bring a scope to be able to see all the waterfowl that might be in the bay.

Sweet Springs Nature Preserve is a beautiful place to visit. Easy parking on the road. The path is a simple walk on a dirt path and boardwalk area. This is a quiet, peaceful place to learn about the flora and wildlife, and the importance of the wetlands. The visit is free, with a self-service donation can posted. This area is open dusk till dawn. Due to the bird habitat, dogs are not permitted. Go enjoy an hour walking through the lovely preserve.
