My son and daughter were both seen today. The entire staff was amazing very friendly! The Dentist was very helpful on explaining my son’s tongue tie and the next steps to take. Highly recommend great experience!

Financial predators to say the least.
My son has been to both the Kingsport and Morristown locations prior to this appointment. We previously traveled to the Morristown location a hour away from our home due to the fact the Kingsport location does not accept our insurance.
When I called to make the appointment I listened to “welcome to Morristown Pediatric dentistry” and I pressed one. Pressing one immediately takes you to scheduling the appointment. Made the appointment, explained we had to travel over an hour due to our insurance not being accepted at the local office WHY WOULD WE GO TO THE MORRISTOWN DENTIST IF THE KINGSPORT DENTIST LOCATION TAKES THE SAME INSURANCE?!?
We fill out the paperwork the night before with our group number from our insurance, the day of my husband fills out the paperwork and it states our insurance has not changed. So we go fourth with the appointment and
A F T E R they decide to inform him they don’t take the insurance. 20 minutes into the appointment for 295 dollars. I went to the local office and spoke with Debbie, it was a waste and filled with her gaslighting me and her friend who she brought in as a witness? Just sat there with a rude face on and giving me death stares. I was told that they do not save insurance information, later I called and asked if they saved insurance/cash payments and was told yes then spoke with debbie again and of course she said well not on the patient information page.
They offered a payment plan, we declined because it was not our fault but of course will pay the bill and they know that because they used collections in a threatening manner.
Again, gross and a money predatory establishment. As a younger family we do not know the ins and outs of insurance and we were absolutely made to feel shame about not being masters in the world of dental insurance.
It’s so upsetting to think about how many families are being taken advantage of by their release of little information. They absolutely know what what their doing to get money out of their clients.

Dr. Mallard and the staff were great. Everything was explained for the lip and tongue tie procedure for my newborn. I felt comfortable that the procedure was necessary before proceeding. They had me complete a nursing session in the office in a private room directly after the procedure and we could already see (and feel) the benefits! We would recommend this practice and Dr. Mallard to anyone looking for a tongue or lip tie release. Bonus: they only charge for one area even if there’s multiple treatment areas (lip + tongue) which is a huge help when insurance doesn’t typically cover this procedure. Some other places we called charged for each area.

Took our 15 month old for his first visit and had a great experience! He loved all the staff. Carrie was patient and gave us time to acclimate before starting. We thought Dr Mallard’s glasses were funny and then enjoyed waving at everyone as we left!
