Montrose Colorado Elks I hosted a group there for four days and we really enjoyed the bar and happy hour after our 5pm meetings the people were very nice and we got to see some of the area we hadn't seen before
Golf Course directly across the street is convenient if you like that and also just a block away is the historic 1949 Star Drive-In Theater with shows normally Friday and Sunday sometimes live entertainment or a concert Saturday I believe it's $6.50 for seniors
Very scenic drives all around the area not the least of which is the scenic mining town of Ouray also only 20 minutes away is the Black Canyon of the Colorado a deep Canyon with multiple Scenic pull outs and short hikes

This is a great lodge with a limited RV parking. Nice shade trees, and plenty of parking. The staff is friendly, and it has a ball field.

I was there for a friend's birthday party and it was a blast!! Nice big open area with plenty room for the Dj setup, dance floor and noone was cramped or crowded. They have a nice bar setup and very nice clean appearance over all. I will keep them on mind for family events.

I may be prejudiced, as a member and a Past Exaulted Ruler at this lodge, but, this is an excellent organization and lodge. Featuring a very large dance floor, a fine kitchen facility and of course the fellowship of the members.
Perfect place for private parties such as weddings, receptions, and business presentations. etc.

Recently updated sound system perfect for powerpoint presentations or background music as well as fully capable for live music.

The layout is perfect for gatherings of all sizes. Capable of a banquet of 250 or more. Or can be arranged for small intimate groups with privacy.

I could rave on. But check it out for yourself.

If I could post 0 stars, I would. I've never seen a worse run operation, ever... I'm not saying The Elks is a bad organization, I'm saying my experience with this facility has not been a good 1. I've enjoyed every Elks facility I've been to, which is quite a few across this country. I am no longer an Elk, because I will never give another cent of my money to this lodge & I live in Montrose.

Dirt lot with some trees. No sewer or dump station.
The locals keep to themselves inside the lodge. No meals.

A nice Lodge with friendly people. This is a good place for traveling Elks to go. It looked like they had a good turnout for Bingo on Tuesday night.
