I cannot thank Monster Moms enough for their kindness and support during such a challenging time for my family. I recently gained custody of my three grandchildren late at night, and I had nothing prepared—no extra clothes, food, or essentials for them.

Tia Gibson and the Monster Moms organization stepped in and provided everything we needed, including Christmas toys, clothes, food, and even clothing for my son. They went above and beyond, making sure the kids could have a joyful Christmas Eve full of smiles, laughter, and love.

This nonprofit truly cares about families and the community. Their love and compassion make a real difference, and I am forever grateful for their help. Keep doing what you’re doing, Monster Moms—our community is better because of you!

I was on the phone with one of the moms when I heard how rude the organizer of the event spoke to her. I heard her boast about purchasing gifts (out of her own pocket) and even went as far as to say "you can return the gift!" Completely out of line! After having people wait in the cold because of a late start (due to no fault of their own), you would think that you would be more humble and apologetic vs. belligerent. As if people aren't feeling uneasy enough in these uncertain times, here goes an agency that shows no compassion. It was really unnecessary to even express where the funds came from for the gifts because if you are giving from your heart that should be irrelevant. In fact, its down right tacky and I couldn't believe an organizer that works for a non profit would even speak this way. Almost as tacky as having a surge in reviews to combat the unfavorable reviews. Perhaps tighten up and move with grace then you won't have to send people to even out your reviews. Word of mouth is a very POWERFUL tool and so is Social Media, but more importantly , hearing it for myself spoke to the character of the person running this organization.
Have the day you deserve. Be blessed.

Monster mom inc, if you’re going to take applications, & invite the families in for gifts, you should be prepared for when the family show up. You don’t wait to the day of the event to deny any child, especially when you send the notification of approval. If you’re going to do something, do it. And make sure you have the right attitude, in life you will encounter all kinds of people with in a non profit organization & you have to stand with integrity. How can you empower someone with the wrong attitude? If you can’t meet the needs of the applicants do a raffle. Don’t tell people one thing & then deny them. It’s cold outside, kids are waiting with anticipation. If something comes up where you made a mistake, acknowledge it & improvise no need to be disrespectful. Why invite people in & deny them when they show up. Why would I show support to an organization who want honor their word. If you apply for toys for tots and get approval they honor every child on that application. You really need to do better, an organization sponsored by the community for the community as a person that donates to non profits this is unacceptable.

I Love the owner & have been a witness to all she does for families. She never cuts any corners and always prioritizes the families over herself. I see the recent reviews that aren’t so nice but come in and judge/see for yourself just how truly amazing monster moms is to so many families .

I was selected to be in their Christmas program, from start to finish my experience was horrible. Their communication was unprofessional! I called to confirm pick up and was yell at by the owner. I have all the proof that I communicated in a timely matter just in case she replies and says I’m lying. We get there it’s extremely cold, they were running late, they took their time giving out gifts so people would stay until the end of the event. Then they gave out USED gifts that were already open. My son got a remote control truck with no remote he can’t even use it. Seem like the only people that got actual gifts that were new, were the families that were enrolled in her program. To find out funds were raised to give out USED gifts is crazy. I wasn’t going to leave a review but for her to lie under other reviews is not right!

Monster Moms is so amazing and patient with me during the event! It was packed and they multitasked beautifully even with disrespectful people, trying to overthrow the policy given! I truly love the way they operated and I can’t wait for another gathering

If I could rate zero I would!!! I went to their Christmas giveaway today 12/20/24. I filled out the app for my three kids, 12, 16, & 16. When they finally reached out to let me know my family was chosen, they never mentioned they could not assist my two 16 year olds.

When we arrived to the event at 10:45 they apparently was running late as event was scheduled 11-1. They were just setting up. It was an outside event and it was quite cold. They finally started around 11:15 or so with signing in and there wasn’t much to do after going to each table so we basically stood there in the cold while the MM team sat on there phones and obviously had attitudes when people asked a question.

We waited almost an hour in the cold as they sat on their phones attempting to stall us until 1 (everyone noticed) before they started to call names for the gifts. They called my childrens name and I walked up to them. They lady asked was my kids ages and I told her 12, 16, 16. She then said “yeah the 16 year olds don’t get a gift only the 12 year old”. I then stated that I thought it said up to 17 (which I could have seen that for a different event) but nonetheless asked them why didn’t they say that when they informed me about being chosen. I could have honestly left them home if they couldn’t assist but they had my kids ages prior to this event and did not inform me.

The owner then gone say, “well if you don’t want the gift for your 12 year on then give it back because I paid money out of my pockets for all these gifts”. That’s when things got heated and I gave her the gift back telling her I didn’t need a gift from someone like this and how unprofessional they were.

Apparently her daughter, the one who had an major attitude walked up next to me and the lady I was getting the gifts from gone say “don’t push my daughter”. Lol, you mean the daughter that walked up on me and bump me?

Anyway, it was a really unprofessional and unorganized event that ain’t worthy of going to. I don’t normally do reviews unless it’s really bad service or extremely good service. They are horrible!! And not because of the gift but from the time we pulled up and just there overall unprofessional attitude. My kids among other parents were ready to leave by 11:45 because it was just that bad

EDIT AFTER OWNERS RESPONSE::

It’s very sad and pathetic that an owner of a non-profit has to come on my review and lie to try to justify their poor behavior and to save her business reputation. What’s even worse is that all of a sudden today, so many people came under here to give you 5 stars and praise you.

Nowhere on the application did it say you don’t service kids over 10. I checked to make sure, especially for my older kids. Even at the event you specifically said you don’t serve over 12. Furthermore, your company reached out twice by phone and neither time was I ever informed an age. If in fact you only service up to 10, my family shouldn’t have even been included.

Since we are addressing behaviors, let’s acknowledge that you initiated the attitude and speaking ugly towards me. You don’t get to dictate how someone responds to disrespect.

Also, you are telling a bold face lie stating that I was cussing and pushing people. My attention was on you the entire time. I faced you the entire time and never once did my hands touch anyone. Telling lies like this speaks volumes of your character. My review was deleted off your social media page because you know exactly what took place.

If you are going to work with the public you need to learn how to speak to people properly because speaking rudely and then trying to entice an altercation by screaming “Don’t push my daughter, don’t push my daughter” knowing darn well that’s not true, will cause you to get reviews like this. Had I got exceptional service like the ones you sent over here to leave a review then perhaps I would have given you a better one. Treat people the way you want to be treated!!
