Such a beautiful place, wonderful people, and amazing scenery. Sheepdog trials sound boring, but come watch sometime and you'll see it's action packed. The teamwork between the handlers and dog will leave you in awe. All I have are some scenery pictures I hope you enjoy them.

This event definitely makes it into my annual highlights! Fascinating to watch these handlers and their amazing dogs work together. Top that with amazing food and one of the nicest groups of spectators I’ve been with! Definitely a must see.

The only thing I would suggest is to add bleacher sitting. For the amount of people, there was def not enough seating. We brought our chairs, we were there early and still so far away from seeing those incredible dogs.

This is an extremely well organized, top notch, challenging sheepdog trial. This is one of my favorite venues in the country. Very fun as a handler and is expectator. Meeker is a beautiful little town in a beautiful area.

The announcer was aHmazing. You have a great parking team. One man in particular makes it most clear where they expect you, and directs you into your parking spot with a smile and much grace. Everyone at the Classic is there to enjoy relaxing and watching beautiful creatures GOD created do just what HE created them for....dogs, sheep, handlers, and those of us in the spectator realm.
Thank you all of Meeker. You do a grand job. I have been enjoying The Classic for 20+ years and have watched it develop annually. It was especially great to see Meeker Classic Posters displayed in so many businesses. And the sheep heads in the Meeker Hotel Cafe.

I remember going on field trips to the classic Meeker Sheepdog trials. My school would usually do a field trip to it every year and I always found it well worth the visit. The community takes part in setting up the event and it is always done well, rain or shine. You can sometimes see sheep wagons that local families bring that have been used for decades or kept as antiques. If you happen to be traveling through when the dog trials are taking place its definitely not something you see in the city ( I believe it takes place on September 4th). Oh and be sure to buy a poster!
