I have been seen in the Oak Ridge office for years. No one has ever given me any troubles. My calls have ALWAYS been answered. My appointments have always been positive. When I was laid off, they did the paperwork for safety net to ensure I was going to be receiving my medication as prescribed. I have nothing negative to say about this place.

I had mixed feelings about posting a review as I thought I would use Helen Ross in the future for my son. After receiving a letter about them canceling our services I am choosing to speak out. My son is only 5 and has extreme ADHD with adjustment disorder. He gets in trouble at daycare consistently bc of it. We tried the medication option which DCS Said if Helen Ross just stood up for my son during a med conference call with his dad my son could get the help he needed. The parenting plan states 50:50 decisions, but that was the loophole. . The medication worker let the father argue and yell on the phone claiming my son has β€œno issues”. My ADHD quiz and even the daycare said other wise, but they didn’t want to help because the narcissistic father claimed my son has no issues. My heart dropped bc if they had of stood up & seen the mother, grandparents, AND daycare all see an issue my son would have gotten help. Play therapy was not helping there either and my mom noticed that as well. My son played in the room for an hour and we never got any feedback or helpful information to take out of it. Heather is very kind there, but she said she doesn’t specialize in children behavior. The coordinator Emily was always reaching out, but honestly it was a circle of reaching out but no one actually helping my son. I’m disappointed and will find someone to actually help. They need more people who care.

Wonderful! Respectful and caring!! I've been receiving much needed help through Helen Ross for over 10 years. I've had nothing but very great experience. They are knowledgeable about mental health and medication. If you want to pill shop you won't be treated with respect! People who need them get respect and care. They answer your questions- return cls and are nice. Knoxville and oakridge locations

They don't answer the phone and don't call back. They can't be bothered to spend more than about 30 seconds with each patient, and it's a different practitioner almost every time; they can't keep people (as if they listen to or even care about you, anyway).

God forbid they send you the links for your video appointments. There have been a few times I've shown up for in-person appointments only to be told they were cancelled because they couldn't be bothered to call (in both cases, because the practitioner left the practice, which of course nobody told me).

Also seems that they hire the rudest front desk assistants they can find (only a couple have been really good); one of which even implied that I just stop taking my meds when I told her I was out of my medication and couldn't reschedule my appointment (I was about 15 minutes late to this appointment due to a wreck on the interstate) for later that week.

This isn't exclusive to the Anderson office, either; the entire practice is garbage.

My grandson is fixing to go to the one in Oak Ridge. He’s been using the one in Knoxville. I don’t know about Oakridge, but Knoxville has been amazing.

I’ve been coming to Helen Ross for years a lot of it is you’ve got to find the right counselor or therapist, but I really do appreciate everything that they do and the help that they give. They have been a great tool to use for my son and I.

If you're going here for any type of medication, good luck. Hannah Hutchins, the nurse practitioner who does the meds, doesn't listen and already has in her mind what she is going to prescribe next without even talking to you. She doesn't care if its not working or if it's making you feel sick or anything, she DOESN'T LISTEN OR CARE AT ALL! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! If you're going for counseling, the counselors are very kind and do listen, but they don't communicate with the med prescribing lady at all. If they do, she again doesn't listen or care.

The amount of disrespect you get from Helen Ross McNabb and the one in Oak Ridge is atrocious. They expect you to know everything and god forbid if you ask for help on medication or need to reschedule an appointment , or whatever it might be you will get an attitude. They are not understanding and if it's something they messed up and they do mess up alot here!! you will not get an apology or anything they WILL BLAME IT ON YOU! It's sickening how they treat you especially from a place who claims they are here to help you!
