I love that you know exactly what is expected of you at mats. They hold you accountable for your actions. You either work the program and reap the reward or you don't and fail. It is not just a shelter, its a program!! They teach you how to be Independent, make better choices, supply you with everything you need to be stable while finding sustainability, etc. Its tough to change your ways and accept that if you want change you have to be willing to change.

I truly cannot say enough positive things about Mats. The staff and directors do their best to go above and beyond to accommodate and make residents feel welcome. Mats is so much more than just a place to stay. It’s a program that helps people regain independence and build confidence in being able to thrive when getting back on their feet. So much hard work and dedication go into Mats as a whole and all the people involved truly care and want to see success from everyone who passes through. Our community is so lucky to have a place like Mats!

It would have been a great place for me but unfortunately it didn’t work out as some of the staff are not very professional or understanding. A place like mats could be such a godsend to those just needing that one step towards positive change but unfortunately there are bigots and people that judge others based on nothing but appearances and indifference. The staff use this place to assert their need of power and control over others instead of inspiring them. I was humble to the program and showed respect when warranted. I will say that one of the staffers looked through my unusual indifference and actually saw me as the person I am. The one star goes out to her as she is a real person that has the passion to help and promote positive change as well as keeping my fragile hope alive.

I was under the understanding that this was a homeless shelter that offered rehabilitation program. According to the Woman I spoke with Taylor. Me being disabled, homeless living in My truck struggling with alcoholism, somehow I do not qualify according to Her. Now I am trying to scrap a perfectly good vehicle to be able to get a bus ticket to a shelter that offers a program that is Legitimate. Thanks Taylor for making Me feel like toxic waste that isn't worth the the effort to help. Appreciate the confirmation that My life doesnt matter

MATS is a truly wonderful place that gives people experiencing homelessness a chance at restarting in life! This place allowed me to work towards getting a job and finding stability whenever I had nowhere else to turn in life. This place is truly a blessing.

Not a great place. Was kicked out of there today AT NIGHT because I couldn't find sustainable income quick enough to their liking and they set some unrealistically high expectations. They truly don't care about their residents. I recommend anyone to NOT GO HERE.

The son they talked about on father and son loosing home to domestic dispute maybe spend 1 night there and called his mother and told her he was scared so he even though is 20 years old has been back with her after she went and picked him up. There is always more than 1 side to a story the man should really tell the truth about how he got there. Most men like him can really con people.
