Been going for a few months now, LOVE my therapist, felt a bind right off.
Psychiatrist, Angel, I was iffy with but I felt in our 1 visit, I could bond with her.
Next she’s gone and in comes Mercedes. Right off the bat, I felt judged, unhinged and just overall bad mojo in general. I gave her one more try, it didn’t change.. I then just cancelled all appointments and told my therapist.
I’ve learned last week she is no longer there, others are filling in. May give it another try as I just don’t have 100% faith in my PCP with mental health medications.

The staff at Maryhaven were generally friendly and helpful. However, my experience with my therapist was somewhat disappointing. While she was friendly, she didn't seem to take the time to truly understand me as an individual. I am emotionally intelligent and have a strong spiritual foundation, which I believe the therapist didn't fully consider.

For example, the therapist repeatedly suggested coping mechanisms that I already employ in my daily life based on my own personal experiences. When I explained that I was already familiar with these techniques, the response was often dismissive, such as "Oh okay, well I suggest you do that."

I felt that the therapist could have benefited from a deeper understanding of my unique needs and background before making specific recommendations.

Id been seeing a lady named Angel for about 3 visits until one day being told she wasnt there any longer. I then began seeing a lady named Mercedes. I saw her 2 visits and now she's gone. In order for us to get well, we have to establish relationships with these medical professionals. We have to feel safe and comfortable to be able to talk about our demons. I'll be coming for my 6th visit soon and I don't know who I'll be seeing. Patients take two steps back in treatment everytime they have to start over with someone new. I lose hope with this place already.

Our therapist canceled more than seeing our daughter. Sick, flat tires, issues at school, and everything was a last-minute cancel. I am still waiting for our therapist to call and reschedule her last home visit (1.5 months ago). I'm glad I didn't hold my breath!

I needed an evaluation for an attorney. I told the psychiatrist he's the professional it's up to him. He said my insurance won't pay since he couldn't find anything wrong. He sent a letter to my attorney stating that I refused treatment. This is so wrong on many levels. Maybe because I'm a gay man? I don't know.

When I started treatment here I wasnt sure if I was valid in being depressed which honestly sounds crazy saying it now. I love my therapist Dana and my in school one Janae becasue they listen to me and also help me fix things when I mess up lol. Scheduling could be better though because at the moment Im barely having 1 session a month.

The nurses and case manager at Maryhaven are great, my problem is with my psychiatrist, Dr. Reddy...

It's like quality of life isn't a concern for her. She wants to see you every month but that doesn't mean she'll listen to what you have to say. I'll continuously tell her I feel like a zombie and that I just lay in bed all day and this is apparently the end goal of my treatment since she just ignores me, changes nothing significant, and starts scheduling my next appointment.

I regret the years I've had her as a psychiatrist and have picked a new one that I'll be seeing ASAP. I'll miss the other staff I dealt with regularly at Maryhaven.

Please do NOT give this place your time. I decided to start receiving help at Maryhaven when I was in the 8th grade, and the woman that I had, Suzann was absolutely useless. She would force me to sit there, and color and while she typed on her computer and talked about her dogs for the millionth time.

I am now 19 years old, and I have been struggling. For the fear of pandemic I have been hesitant on getting help right now, but I have decided I cannot wait any longer. After an hour of debating with myself I called, just to be told they do not accept my insurance. I checked on the website before I called just to be sure so that’s very odd. Then, she proceeds to tell me I do not live in marysville so they won’t see me, and that I needed to contact the board of Dublin to see who I am able to receive assistance to. I have never heard of this. I had to gather all of this through gum popping on the phone. Real professional 🙄
