To reply to Ben Turner. I'd like to help you understand those fancy cars. Imagine being in a good paying job and being able to afford that car. Then through no fault of your own you lose that job due to disability or economic changes. You no longer have income to give a car dealer to trade in for a lower value car/lower car payment. You're also in a fancy house that is not completely falling apart. Without a job, or being on social security disability, you no longer have a way to sell and buy smaller. Rent is going up, so that mortgage is still your best option. So you have side jobs that are barely making ends meet to cover that car and that mortgage payment. But you've got family or kids to support, so getting by is all you can afford.

What you can't see is how many of those are neighbors legitimately picking up for that family who can't afford to fix their car this month after it broke for the 3rd time. You can't see how many are having to put off car maintenance on those special cars because they can't afford the maintenance, or a second gallon of milk for their kids this week. Your skepticism is exactly why places like manna house are so important for the community. It can be embarrassing to ask for help. It can be considered shameful to be sitting in that parking lot to wait for food. Community food banks can be abused, I agree....but is it your place as an outsider to judge based on appearances alone?

I drive by here every Saturday on my way to work and I'm always amazed at the number of very nice cars, trucks and SUVs lining up for free food. What these people do is admirable but there are so many people out there who take advantage of the kindness of others that I really question if it's the best way to deal with our current national climate.

Wonderful. I would like for Manna to spray for mosquitoes. They are really bad next to the hedges at the back.
I appreciate Manna so much. They are all loving and gracious. Even offered hot dogs and bottled water while waiting in line. God Bless Manna
