This town puts a speed limit sign in the bush and then puts a cop right behind it. Inconsiderate judge and unhelpful employees who never answer the phone. I will never visit this town again they will do everything they can do screw you over

I love Lyons, and normally respect Lyons as a sweet town. BUT...on Saturday evening 10-29-16, we were coming down the canyon on highway 36, and were suddenly caught up in the longest line of cars we have ever experienced as lifelong residents of CO. We were held up for TWO HOURS, waiting to come down through Lyons. All because of a parade. We all consider this PISS POOR PLANNING on the part of Lyons! NEVER should you monopolize a main artery highway like that! HUNDREDS of cars were trapped in that jam, thanks to Lyon's planners. We used a half tank of gas, with stop and go traffic, moving by inches down the road. If there were people that needed gas, water, food or the facilities, they had none. It was the end of the day, and by God, we wanted to go home. Our cell phones did not work in the canyon, I wasn't able to contact my son, who needed a ride home from work an hour before we finally got to Longmont. My daughters were very concerned for us, not knowing what happened to my husband and I. NEVER AGAIN FOLKS!
