This was the only gym my team and I could find here in NoCo where they allowed us to practice our Buhurt (Medieval Armoured Combat) and honestly that says a lot. Great place great staff, the OWNER is a legend of a man. The price per month is decent, definitely a better deal than the yearly overall 9 out of 10 only because I wish I didn't have to drive 30+ mins to get there

I was wondering what sort of "predatory" financials I saw in other reviews was about since they seemed decent and how they could possibly overcharge, but now I completely understand.
Went here consistently for almost a year, was wondering about renewing/cancelling my membership since I was on a year contract. Apparently if I wanted to cancel I would have to go exactly on the day I signed up 1 year ago, otherwise I will be charged for a renewal, or I would be charged $90 for an early cancellation fee. And I'd have to go in person. That completely threw any idea of renewing here out the window.
See you guys on my 1 year anniversary to cancel.

Decent equipment and not overcrowded. OK price, could use some upkeep... changing rooms definitely make you want to get out of there. More cardio machines in front room than I've ever seen actually used. Friendly crowd, lots of regulars

LAC is my home away from home gym. Like space, it's big. Really big. You won't believe how vast, etc. But it feels cozy because of how it's broken up. There is cardio gear aplenty, but the Uniqe part of LAC is the strength equiptment. The owner has been a gym owner for a LONG time and has collected an amazing variety of equiptment, all of it well maintained and ready to help you shred. The example I give folks who ask is: "Show me another gym where you have 4 DIFFERENT leg presses?" Mixing up your workout is critical for strength and balance. Variety is the spice of living well. The staff, and particularly the trainers who work out of LAC are fantastic. Well educated. Motivated and motivational. They will regularly offer group training and nutrition packages, challenges, and programmes. There's even a 24-hour access option.

Update: Oct 23 2024- Jay has been shopping. There is now a FIFTH leg press at LAC. Six if you count the Hack Squat as a press. This new one is a fully vertical, plate loaded press.
Leg Day? LAC has you covered.

During my last session, I found it quite distracting to have groups engaging in high-energy activities like rope slams right next to the free weights section. But I get it "trainers" have to make their money. However, It’s tough to maintain focus when you’re trying to lift heavy, especially when you’re surrounded by noise and movement that can be disruptive. I believe that having clearly defined spaces for serious lifting and more casual workouts would benefit everyone. A dedicated area for heavy lifting, free from distractions, would create an environment where serious lifters can concentrate and push their limits without interruptions of Zumba moms! go to the CrossFit area if you want to do rope slams, I felt like I was getting cooled off from the wind of the ropes standing 5 feet away.

Jay runs a great gym with tons of great equipment. While I lived near by for several years this gym was a sanctuary for my body and mind.

Jay is a really nice guy, and it is so cool to see the owner regularly in the gym training, helping others, and taking care of his business.

I recently had a very disappointing and concerning experience at Loveland Athletic Club. Not only was I overcharged for my membership, but the overall condition and management of the gym raise serious safety concerns.

Firstly, the equipment is outdated and in poor condition. The squat racks are not bolted down, posing a significant risk of injury. The machines and weights are crammed together, making it difficult to navigate the space safely. This lack of proper spacing is not only inconvenient but also highly unsafe.

Furthermore, the owner lacks proper health training and seems to be more interested in taking advantage of personal training clients than providing them with effective and safe guidance. The advice given is often inadequate and potentially harmful, putting clients at risk of injury.

Overall, Loveland Athletic Club is a hazardous environment with an unqualified owner who prioritizes profit over the well-being of its members. I strongly recommend finding a safer and more professionally run gym.
