This rescue puts the horses first . The veterinary care , refeeding , time to defuse , training , retraining or just a soft place to land . Once they arrive at Vera's place they get what they need.

This is a legitimate rescue and sanctuary which I have seen with my own eyes. Unfortunately, they do not assist people from the community. I have an autoimmune condition that was getting out of control. My income was draining as there were no treatments improving my health so I could work. I inquired with LTHER about my Arabian because he emotionally escalates and placing him in the wrong home could have meant he would find himself abused or on a meat truck if he landed in the wrong hands. I sent in a request for them to take him on and offered to sponsor him at $150/month until he was adopted. I was denied help by Vera. Her reply said I needed to send him to training and complained about being too busy because she had a 2 hour commute. As you can imagine, I was profoundly shocked. Before my health took a turn, I had been a monthly supporter. I also collected blankets in my area and drove out 2 hours to deliver them. It appears the only horses they will take are those they find at auction or starved. After being denied by Vera, those around me suggested I put down my 13 year old gelding.

One of the best equine rescues out there. They consentrate on Arabian horses but will take in other horses in need. I've spent a lot of time volunteering with this rescue and they are transparent and open. I even adopted 2 horses from them. Recommend them highly

This is an amazing place to get to know horses on a different level. The owner is truly dedicated with the well being of all her horses. These horses come from different places and neglected or abused evirorments. Each horse is getting a different recovery and training treatment. These horses need a loving and caring human who is gentle but with affirm leadership. Give Vera a call or text her for what horses are your interests.

We've spent quite a bit of time volunteering here, and are in the process of adopting an amazing horse. The love that goes into this rescue is palpable. The horses are thoughtfully cared for and trained. The trainer has a gift with horses. We have zero hesitation supporting LTH!

Its absolutly amazing! So many friendly horses, donkeys, and dogs. I adopted an amazing mare from here, she is doing so good! I would tottally recemend coming here to adopt, and just have fun!
