My wife and I attended a solemn, liturgical Ash Wednesday service with communion. We attended Lutheran churches for 40 years. The music was lovely and the prayers deep. The sermon, however, was an irksome.It needlessly dipped into the distress and fear that many so called marginalized groups, (Blacks, LGBTQ, ) etc etc must be feeling today. Big presumption. White heterosexual Americans were not among those supposedly feeling distress and fear because, while not said, we are the oppressors. I groaned and my wife gently jabbed me with her elbow. I said to her after that many Blacks, Arab/ Muslim Americans, Hispanics, gays, and others in so called marginalized groups voted for Trump. I felt that the sermon was out of “DEI for Freshman 101” - there are oppressors ( White guys like me ) and there are the oppressed( everyone else).

I don’t think Jesus called pastors to deliver a DEI, “ victim oriented “ sermon on Ash Wednesday. As far as I can see, we all fall short, and need repentance and grace.

We were happy to pray and receive communion, but, won’t return.

This church puts their words into action with integrity. As a LGBTQ+ person who was kicked to the wayside by a different church in the community, Lord of the Mountains welcomed my wife and I with open arms and continually shows us what true acceptance and love look like.

I was welcomed to a lovely service today by the pastor and her congregation . The pastor is very passionate about spreading the word of God, and is very friendly and loving to her congregation. I would definitely recommend that anyone who is interested attend this church's Sunday service, you will be welcomed with open arms!

When I was a kid this place was one of the best places to be, absolutely amazing and kind people here. The building itself is a gorgeous space. I have a lot of memories growing up here...so 5 stars for constructing parts of my childhood?
