Horrible office. No response for over a week until i happened to get ahold of someone. Not enforcing my case but getting charged for 'enforcement'. I have never spoken to my own case worker. They wont let me. Ex is incarcerated for raping my oldest and so now he isn't responsible for his youngest. This place is a JOKE.

I took a year and a half for my case to finally be pushed through to a judge. My case worker kept lying to me and almost closed my case even though I had turned in everything that was asked of me.

I wish there were an option to give ZERO stars. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever witnessed. The case workers are always ‘out’ and do not return your calls. My husband’s ex-wife opened up a case on him and instead of doing their research to see whether or not he was negligent in paying his child support, they simply ‘took her word for it’ and decided to open up a case stating that he hadn’t paid a dime since their divorce when he had actually paid over $18,000.00 in less than two years and had only missed a couple of payments due to emergency situations that had occurred! What kind of program is this state running and how is it allowed to operate in this way?! After a letter was sent to his place of employment to try and automatically withdraw payment from his earnings, he contacted the office of child support immediately to let them know that he had been paying child support for two years and had only missed a few payments. He was and has remained incredibly gracious and has even tried to assist them however possible in an effort to help correct THEIR error. This case was opened back in DECEMBER and since then, my husband has sent every documentation they have requested and even requested a formal hearing (back in February) when nothing seemed to be happening. Since then, they STILL haven’t communicated or given him any updated information. Because they are not doing their job, the government has now withheld his passport and our federal taxes. He should be 100% paid on ANY and ALL child support he owes. How is this allowed? Should we take legal action at this point? We are open to any and all advice at this point because our lives are being directly affected and his employer is still receiving at least two letters a month. This MUST stop!

My daughter is 19 years old and her father still owes over $40,000. I asked them for monthly updates for 16 years and most of the time, the response “You just have to wait until he gets pulled over” or we’re working on taking his DL away (over 10 times). I have never seen a Child Support department that cares less.

Why would the OCSE send me an invoice but not discuss it with me. I wrote a letter for appeal hearing and a request for my file on November 15, 2022. I called almost every week since. We'll have someone call you. One call the receptionist told me that her supervisor denied my appeal. I told them I need a letter, it's not right and I never signed a form stating I will pay for their services. Nothing, no calls, no letter. I called today, February 21,2023, I was told to pay it and they would send my request for information to the department. Mr. Patrick Johnson, Supervisor got on the phone and told me that I was told several times that they would not discuss the fees and he was hanging up now 😕WOW! Stop wondering why people go postal😠

Can we talk about Ron for a second? I called and he knew I needed guidance and was confused. He was so polite and kind. Went above and beyond, and gave me more info than anyone has to help me navigate this very confusing journey of trying to receive child support. Thank you so much Ron!
