If I was able to give them no stars I would. Everything was going smoothly with me trying to get rental assistance. Turned in all my documents and income in the beginning of April so I can try to get my May rent paid. I called every day trying to get the status on if they was going to pay or not. NEVER got a call back. On May 1st they decided to call me and say that my application was denied. I was so pissed. Not at the fact they denied my application but, for the fact that they waited until the day that my May rent was due. They could have told me weeks before that my income was not going to be able to sustain for the following months. Then I asked for other resources and they said they had none. I will never come back to ask them for help again. They showed no compassion for telling me on the day my rent was due. None whatsoever.

Great place! They helped me with Christmas for me Daughter. Without them she wouldn't have had anything. I know is not about the gifts. But seeing her little face opening them up was amazing!

My mother died about 6ish years ago in the Rutherford house that community action takes care of. When she passed they made me take care of the entire bill because I had to move even went as far as sending it to my father's address, yes I was on the lease so yes in a way it was my responsibility I guess I was only 18/19 still learning how the world works and just lost my only parent and had to move in with my estranged wanna-be father. A few years later I was working at McDonald's and the head lady came through and "thanked me" for paying my dead mother bill, THEY SENT THE BILL TO ME.

The head lady continues to bring up my dead mother every time she sees me even out in public though it's been almost a damn decade since she died.... I really don't appreciate it and find it highly inappropriate for her to constantly bring it up as if she was a part of it.

This place is such a a blessing when you are in need of food just to get through the end of the month! There so friendly, and understanding of other people's situations and what they are going through!

This is the place ya need to go for help . food, rental, utilities ECT..
The ppl here are very helpful & very nice (in my experiences). Community Action helps a lot of Fairfield County folks .

This is a good place for people to go to seek help for the electric bill gas water anything else but I wish people would not take advantage of the programs that is offered to disable owe money in their pocket because they don't want to pay a bill. Also this place has a food bank to sign up for the food bank if you need help this is a good place to go. In Fairfield county
