We recently partnered with Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking for our company which has an annual give back program. The theme changes every year and this year the theme was helping to end human trafficking. LCHT was incredibly responsive and the presentation they gave our employees was absolutely incredible and eye opening to say the least. Their staff is definitely knowledgeable and are helping to end human trafficking on multiple fronts. We cannot thank them enough for coming and educating us. I personally cannot say enough good things about Craig and Kara and the wonderful work they do!

I had the privilege of participating in LCHT's leadership development program, giving me unique insight into the work the team does to combat human trafficking. They partner with a wide variety of institutions to enhance awareness about trafficking as well as the nuance that can be involved in each case. I have been a volunteer with the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking since Spring of 2020, and became a board member last year. This organization is works diligently to provide a multifaceted approach to combating human trafficking; by conducting research, providing education to providers alongside the public, resources to the public in tandem with survivors of human trafficking, or counsel to the Governor, LCHT remains well-informed in both Labor and Sexual Human Trafficking, and seeks to share this knowledge to end human trafficking in our lifetimes.

LCHT’s collaborative work engages a vast community of diverse and passionate professionals working together to solve a complex problem and finding ways to protect the vulnerable from exploitation. I entered the LCHT internship program to learn more about how law enforcement can be better leveraged to identify survivors and bring traffickers to justice. Social change initiatives spear-headed by the collaborative community-based work of groups like LCHT are key components to dis-empowering traffickers, removing their opportunities, and exposing their activities. We all can do our part to affect change, beginning with educating ourselves about what trafficking is, how it happens, and what we can do to stop it. As an intern at LCHT and a graduate student I have been able to see firsthand some of the amazing work the organization does. I participated in LCHT's Leadership Development Program as a Community Engagement intern while pursuing my MSW during the fall of 2018 and the spring of 2019. My time at LCHT far exceeded my expectations. In my six years in the nonprofit and service sector, I have never worked with an organization so dedicated to their values and evidence-based efforts. Every staff member was unconditionally supportive during my time at LCHT. They not only teach compassionate leadership, but demonstrate it in their work.
