Fairly decent local library. They have a lot of events for the kiddos. There's also a nice restroom in the kids area for moms and their children. The staff is always kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend checking your books for damages before checking out bc sometimes they miss some. Payments are cash only and we have trouble with the self scan most days. Keeping up with your books due date is important bc the notices come by mail and arrive way too late. I have had trouble finding some authors and I do hope they update some things soon. Overall it's a very pleasant place to be. The DVDs are in the front and children's section. There is a small area for books in Espanol and also STEM rentals are available. The children's play area has puzzles, blocks, a kitchen set and a doll house.

LOVE OUR LIBRARY! Helpful staff, clean building and parking lot, manicured lawn, clean and easily accessible restrooms, children's library and programs are phenomenal. Excellent family programs. Can't rave enough! ONE of the BEST parts of our community!

First time there and instantly loved the atmosphere, but my favorite part had to be the children's section. The front desk clerk was helpful, friendly, informative, and patient.

We just moved to town. Brought my 11 year old and 8 year old down and to get a library card is ridiculous. Is there a stealing problem with books I don't know about here? Way to encourage reading! Is all the power you have over books worth it? Seriously it's a library card.. one of the few things we have left thats simple... yet this place makes it super hard to get a library card. Thank you.

I didn’t know Lufkin had such a nice library! Found it tucked back in an old neighborhood about 4 minutes from HEB. I loved how it’s laid out. Larger rooms and more windows than most small municipal libraries. Friendly, professional staff. Super clean.
