Great customer service, results, and price! Surprised to find icy, packed snow covering the weekend cabin driveway, the teens and I faced a daunting shoveling job. A quick online search led to Kingpin, so I called and talked to Christina. They were busy but hoped to get thru their pending jobs within an hour. When one cancelled, they were at our place within minutes for a free estimate, which was much less than expected! Their pro equipment looked highly capable. Robert quickly and safely cleared the drive, working in tandem with Christina to handle the displaced snow and keep the road clear. Kingpin is our first choice for El Dorado County snow removal going forward.

Beware of this establishment! Their website says: “Whether you’re looking for one-time berm removal, daily driveway clearing, or full-scale snow removal, KingPin works with you for a fair rate. Our average berm removal price is $45 and our average driveway clearing price is $85”.

So I contacted them via the form on their site to have a small berm across my driveway removed. Their reply was: “We have a $300 minimum right now”.

I then contacted them about how wrong I thought it was to now be charging residents over SIX TIMES their stated average rate in this time of crisis… and they replied telling me to “shove it!”, and “the website says $45 minimum” (when it clearly states that it is their average rate).

The enclosed photo of the berm I wanted cleared, but they did not bother to ask how big it was.

First winter up here in Pollock Pines and was out shoveling my driveway and John from Kingpin services came up in his plow and cleared most of my driveway and then got out and helped me shovel what was left. Really appreciated him stopping to help! Thanks John!
