These firemen always respond immediately and always are very helpful and efficient. Funny sad story. Some stray kittens came to our backyard and that very night a raccoon tracked them down and killed 2 of them until it was chased off. But one of the living ones climbed up to the very top of the chimney and my wife thought he went inside it. So, she calls the KCFD and they were here in under 10 minutes and checked the chimney then climbed up on the roof to the top of 6the chimney and saved that kitten. We tried to give them $100 to get some lunch for all their trouble but these nice guys weren't having any of that. I'm really glad I live in Kern county, and I'm really glad we have the KCFD. These guys are a class act.
