KCF, and organisations of this Ilk, are parasitic in nature. They insert themselves as intermediaries between individuals wishing to provide charitable funding, and the organisations which might receive that funding, acting as an unnecessary middle-man in what should be an uncomplicated process.

As opposed to a simple process where grants are awarded according to a particular criteria, KCF have built a labyrinthian application process, where the explicit criteria to access funds are opaque, glossed over with "key funding priorities", which are themselves so broad as to allow the foundation to direct funds as it pleases. Beyond this, they operate an ethically questionable "Known Organisations" policy, whereby organisations they favour are awarded regular ongoing funding.

KCF hoover up funding and add additional layers of arbitrary bureaucracy and additional administration, wasting resources and promoting itself and it's management at the expense of the organisations it purportedly supports.
