Kathy’s House is a most inviting and relaxing place to stay while your loved one is in the hospital. My room was the next best place to being at home. There was a very comfortable bed, a recliner, desk, refrigerator and a very huge bathroom with a walk in shower! There was a library, exercise room, family room with games and puzzles, laundry, a couple of patios to enjoy the outdoors and walking paths. There were kitchens where you could cook your own meal complete with dishes, pot and pans and dishwashers. Complimentary coffee, breakfast cereal, fruit, and many other snacks. The staff is mostly volunteers and are very helpful and cheerful. The whole place was well taken care of and very clean.

After traveling for 12 hours we were exhausted when we arrived. They welcomed us with open arms and even provided us with a hot meal. I felt like we were at grandma's. Very clean and one of the best places I have ever stayed.

It's alright. They have some very strict rules including wearing a mask at all times. They have many amenities like snacks and coffee besides having a full communal kitchen. We got a downstairs room which was unfortunate as whoever was above us seemed to be using pogosticks to move around. Made it almost impossible to rest because it went on 24/7. Mini fridge, small bedroom with two beds, small living room, and a bathroom with a standing shower with a small seat that can fold down. Having both beds in the same tiny room was awful and made it even more difficult to sleep at night as my caretaker is a very loud sleeper. The temperature fluctuated constantly and the air was really dry. Bring a humidifier. The room kitchenette area had an ant issue caused by having a bottle of honey that even in the fridge attracted the ants into the fridge somehow. And then when we checked out we got an unexpected insane bill that was more than if we just rented an apartment for 2 months. Worst part was no dogs allowed...

What a wonderful place during such a difficult time in our lives. While I was in the hospital for surgery and recuperation, my sister and mother had a place that felt welcoming, safe, and joyous. There were absolutely no worries for my family, so they could focus on what was most important to them at the time. This place thought of everything, and I mean everything! Kathy's House is so much more than a place to stay, it is home!

Kathy's House is more like a home away from home for those struggling with health issues. It is located with easy access to Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin. My wife and I spent several weeks there while I was receiving treatment for Pancreatic Cancer. Everyone at Kathy's House and Froedtert Hospital were both very professional and caring towards their patients. I have absolutely no complaints about our stay there. They were an answer to many prayers about my diagnoses, care, and recovery.
