I was supposed to have an internship lined up through the Colorado works program with this company, Where they saw my resume and contacted Colorado works to say that they think I would be a good fit. I had talked to someone about getting a job there and they basically said if the background check looks good then I might have employment. Not only did this person take weeks to process my background check but when they finally did they called me to “talk about some charges that I have from my past” when I asked what she’s specifically referring to so I may shed some light on the subject I got something along the lines of “I don’t know wouldnt you be able to tell me or know what I’m talking about ?” I mean if you didn’t want to hire me then why waste both of our times pretending ? I’m being referred by the county and state through their sponsored internship program, surely this is enough of a reference in itself ? I also wasn’t given a copy of this background check or allowed to view it so who knows if it’s accurate ? Yet you don’t have the decency to tell me what about my history is concerning to you refusing to give me the chance to elaborate and having an attitude and treating me like a criminal when I’m trying to provide for my three kids because mom and her boyfriend beat her child to death but I still can’t escape being treated like the bad guy even after having ful custody of my 3 kids….go figure

Got so much food for me and my kids. Was fairly quick to. I made an appointment and trust me it’s worth it. You have to make a profile and sign up for a appointment time or you can do walk ins on certain days go to website to find that info but I’m glad I made the appointment instead of walk in. Also went thru the thrift store got some clothes for all of us and we made Easter baskets kids was so happy to get that candy and toys I just let them go crazy when we got home lol we literally didn’t even eat breakfast because we had no food but God made a way thru Joyful Journey food pantry thank you! I’ll be forever grateful. Got allot of pull ups and a pack of wipes as well!

Joyful journey is a hidden treasure a thrift shop, they have a food bank they help so many families weekly & it’s open 7 days a week. So many programs for kids cheer & dance. Tumbling for the tiny ones. They help fire victims from the Blouder fire. They help refugees and help get items for families in need. They do a Santa shop every year giving 1,000’s of gifts out. Tasha & her team love working with the public helping there community… Love this place

Joyful Journeys operates a food bank. They receive free food in exchange for distributing that food to Foodbank of the Rockies Client ID holders with an appointment.

Yet, today, I witnessed two such Client ID holders denied access to their food bank, in direct contradiction to the "We Help Anyone' claim on their website and stated goals for Federal Grant recipients because there was some confusion about 15 vs 20 minute appointments, and what to do with any time available between scheduled appointments.

Apparently, any unused/idle time between appointments must be used up in an attempt to justify turning away homeless people on site, because today I listened as the staff there failed to state any rational explaination/justification for denying two homeless people 5 minutes of time to receive any food.

When one homeless man requested 5 minutes of access before their next appointment, the staff offered to call the police to enforce their irrational denial of emergency access policy.

When homeless people, in need of emergency supplies of food, spend time and resources to get to a food bank, it is unconscionable to think that they could be met with this level of contempt and disregard for decency.

I really question the wisdom of donating food to Joyful Journey's foodbank. A Food Bank organization with integrity ought to have a policy in place to offer some sort of emergency provisions to help anyone in despirate need. To do otherwise makes the Journey far from Joyful.

Hidden gem! Lots of cool things to find, including a whole children's section, and much of it is bulk priced ($20 cash/$25 credit per cartload). The entrance is in an industrial area but is clearly marked and there is street parking. Glad we decided to go!

I went here today with my friend Judy and it was so awesome! Your staff is so friendly and we enjoyed browsing. There's so much to look through that I'll just have to keep going back. I found some beautiful jewelry and a really pretty butterfly shirt and it was all half off!!

There's so much good stuff here. I got 4 arm chairs for like 40 bucks. These people are so nice too.
