Follow up: I still have the bills and I still don't have a place to stay. A year has passed. I finally got the old apartment paid off but now I'm waiting for it to clear my credit so I can hopefully find a place soon. I have been denied so many places and those admin and application fees add up. Still living house to house. But I got this. God will bless me very soon!

I am only giving 2 stars from the lady that prayed for in the office when I first started this program and Lance who was helping me find a place to stay. I am a working lady when i started program and still working even found a better paying job! I had been working. With Lance for 3 weeks until ANN (VERY RUDE) comes along. After all said and done find out that lance was going on vacation is why I got turned over to ANN (SMART MOUTH). It stated out that she gives me a call and said she is working with me now (very rude tone) and ask what was my maximum on apt. I say $1100. She then says what area I said smyrna lavergne antioch area because of my new job. Now I been working with Lance in these areas this whole time. Then ANN proceeds to say she knows a place and will pay off my old apartment and ends the conversation. 5 mins top she calls back to say she has a place in murfreesboro rent being $1255. She said she will call apartment and call me back. I missed the call and ANN leaves a voicemal stating " if i dont get the apartment in murfreesboro then we cant help you and im on my own"! Ok I guess I can work with murfreesboro and take 840 to work. Thinking i work in brentwood, franklin and gallatin. Now Lance already said I dont have to pay anymore application fees that they will pay them. ANN (RUDE) Says you will need to fill out application and contact property. I ended up paying $50 for app fee. Then I got the electric ($43) to get turned on water ($50) rental insurance ($27). All this to be turned on by Friday. Now the apartment was closing Thursday and Friday so I had to try to get my keys. The apartment sent email saying the deposit of $500 hasn't been made and to get my keys I will have to get utilities on by Wednesday. I call and get all changed over! Now I call Lance and he said he will check on it. Also, ask Lance about the program to get car fixed. At this point im waiting for lance to call me back with a place and time for car. 5 mins later I get a call from ANN (RUDE and SMART MOUTH) She says "so you not happy with the apartment "? I say you didn't give me a choice and I already have the utilities on. She says well if you not happy then we cant help you. I said its fine cause i already have utilities on im just waiting on yall for deposit. The ANN (SMART MOUTH) Says and lance told me you want your car fixed. I said yes then she said we only pay a portion and you pay the rest. I said i know thats what lance said. Then ANN (VERRY RUDELY) say so you not happy about the apartment or car..its like she was puting words in my mouth. At the point i go off! ( and told by Elizabeth ANN PUTS ME ON SPEAKER PHONE) Yes i cussed her out! She got me out of my element and i was wrong but i had enough of ANN for 3 days of her rudeness! Dont end there.. ELIZABETH calls acting concern i proceed to tell her what happened and she RUDE TOO!! She tell me to be quite in the mist of telling my story so she can talk. I was letting her talk and at that time my phone was messing up so she thinks im talking over her. I kept telling her my phone was messing up then she rudely say i cant talk to youcause you wont be quite. Then hangs up!!! I called back 3 times and left text messages for her to say im not approved for the apartment cause im abusive!!
So now why are they not giving ALL MY MONEY BACK? I call the apartment back to see if i can still get the apartment and she said no cause i was only approved cause they were pose to pay off old apartment. Called to turn everything off and now i have a bill and money wasted!!

An outreach center for the homeless.

The Journeys Home has many, many services offered, such as: Computer access, laundry, showers, food boxes (12 per day), Rover tickets, clothes closet, breakfast, lunch & dinner (dinner is certain days), toiletries & much more.

Meals are served to the homeless, restaurant style and there’s always sweet treats for dessert. We can give them anything they’d need to shower (shampoo, conditioner, soap, towel, wash cloth)

The clothes closet has clothes for men, women and children. From shirts, pants, swimsuits, dressy clothes, underwear, shoes, socks & more. (Everything depends on who has donated what, so sometimes things can be run out of)

There’s a “waiting” type area where people can just chill and be out of the son. The office and waiting room area is open daily til 3pm.

Great place, food, clothes, showers, laundry. Good staff. Breakfast at 6am lunch at 11am.

Donated scuffed but usable luggage to be used by those in need. It's not our first visit. it's a great place to help the homeless.

I can't speak for my experience, but a friend of mine was blessed with a job and decided to share the love. He immediately went to McDonald's and bought $200 worth of hamburgers. He handed some out to the homeless at the library . He had plenty left over so he decided to hand some out in front of the journey home . There he was met with ridicule. They informed him that he could not do that there. They in turn call
ed the police on him for handing out food.
Their explanation was that the people would throw paper on the ground . Have you ever ridden by that place and noticed the overflowing garbage cans? The litter and trash that abounds there is overwhelming . They then asked him what church he was involved with . He claimed no affiliation. Just who do these people think they are? Do they think they are the only ones that can offer help ? How about they do what they are doing out of their backdoor and see how their neighbors feel about it? I don't care for the self righteous enablers and wish they would relocate to the salvation army . Well now I'm done .

Can never get a hold to anyone for assistance and then they send you to voicemail and don't bother to return the call and it been over a week... People don't care until it happens to them

I called 4 times on 08/26/24 to ask for directions yet neither of the two females I spoke to could give me directions from me sitting outside of 307 W. Castle Street and the 2md lady told me, it's actually East Castle Street not West that I needed to look for. So I spent 1 hour & half riding all over that corner of South Church Street sweating on my bicycle. I truly don't know how any ody is supposed to find that place when the office ladies don't care to step outside the building for a brief few minutes to help an individual that is literally sitting ine address number away!!! I don't know if they blind fold themselves while driving to & from work & have no idea where 307 W. Castle Street is or what, seriously! If the office personal does not care to seriously help give directions or step outside their building for a moment to look around seeing as how they have no clue what businesses are beside their building!
WOW, I'm just flabbergasted at the lack of concern & help by an organization that's supposedly helps those in need! But then again, they are not the ones in need so who cares right!?
The apology should come from the careless staff I spoke to not an innocent party that wasn't a part of the conversation over the phone. This is exactly why this behavior is ongoing via the reviews! That'sOK, because 2024 is just the beginningof the tables beginning to turn for all, so all best enjoy what they have for their secret skeletons in their closets are going to haunt them & serve them their just desserts from this year over the next few years! Everyone will have a flip of life circumstances to enjoy how they have treated all others up to 2024 in life, U CAN MARK THESE WORDS, JUSTICE IS HERE & CONTINUING TO HUNT DOWN & TURN THE TABLES FOR EACH SIDE THE UNJUST & THE JUST!
