I was transferred here when it was apparent I needed neurological surgery after a skiing accident far away. My experience was outstanding in every sense. The surgeon, the nursing team, even the food were exceptional! Every single caregiver I encountered was kind, professional and competent. I received outstanding care and expect an excellent long term outcome.

Drove all the way from gunnison which increased my pain level. Upon getting there they called me to a room
Quickly only to wait 2 hours and 50 min for a doctor to make an appearance which never occurred. I have a tethered nerve in my spine which is serious enough but when you go from 265 pounds down to 190 and your stomach has totally ceased to function it becomes serious but only a doctor and his ego is worth time patients time is meaningless. Now not only will I never return I’ll also have my back surgery done elsewhere! Also during my stay in 2023 July and August there dr lapkin obtained my records without my consent or written permission which is illegal and I sill be seeking legal recourse

I have delivered 2 babies here and I love their level of care! Each nurse was only given 2 patients leaving them plenty of time to come in and check on you. They will even help you try to get into more comfortable positions! I can’t remember my nurses name but I do remember how supportive and attentive she was. I love that there is on call midwife’s from one of SCLs clinic. Kathryn O’Riley is the best hands down, she even let my husband help catch our son!

Floor 6 was phenomenal I loved Rebecca and doc white is amazing! As for the nic-u nurse Deborah should be fired! My husband and I agreed to not vaccinate her on one thing (which she got at her two month check up with her primary doctor). She kept drilling my husband and tried to rope him into it even though she knew our wishes. She then put an iv in my babies head! Which now she has a scar on her head that is more noticeable since she’s gotten bigger. She also taught my husband the wrong ways to hold our baby and then when he tried to feed her at the next shift change another nurse told him to stop feeding her that way that he isn’t doing it like the standard way that all of the other nurses do. On our second to last day there we got to do the “stay in” with our baby on floor six and of course Deborah was our night nurse and when we asked for a meal ticket for my husband she refused and was disrespectful and would not listen to us we were NOT asking for a free meal for him we were just simply asking if it was okay for him to purchase a meal ticket from the cafeteria area for $7.00 so he could eat dinner. She told us that in her “20 years of working there she didn’t know what we were taking about and that there was no such thing as a meal ticket for $7.00 that my husband could use.” She kept arguing with us when we were trying to explain what we were taking about. She even called her “manager” which I don’t believe was her manager to try to make her point and prove to us that she was “right” and we were wrong. She definitely needs to retire or be nicer with babies and with parents she needs to do the standard procedures in teachings to not confuse and make the parents feel like they’re doing something wrong. To anyone reading this remember you always have the right to “fire your nurse” that goes for your babies too. Do not let anyone treat them like how she belittled us as a family!

Rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional staff. Does not listen to concerns. Seems as if they could care less about their patients. I bright my daughter to the ER for possible internal bleeding after a severe motor vehicle accident. She was screaming in pain. The nurses were chitchatting and laughing instead of attending to patients. No sense of urgency!

My daughters went there knowing she is positive for influenza A the whole family has it why wouldn't she she had every symptom they lost her first flu test made her take it again and sent her home told her they would call her with results and call in medications as needed didn't give her any fluids knowing she has been throwing up for 2 days unable to keep anything down has a fever body aches major headache nothing not even Tylenol was offered for pain. She didn't even see the Dr and they released her how unethical is this place something happened to my daughter due to their lack of care you best believe they will have a law suit hospitals and places like this shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine they are a joke wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy

Was in the hospital three years ago with a TBI, last night I fell and hit my head again as well as busted my shoulder muscle very hard.

My shoulder pain was incredible but my anxiety that I was about to have another extended head injury stay and possibly brain surgery was way worse.

I will forever be thankful for Audry X-ray tech and Amanda the ER nurse, calmed me down significantly, laughed at all my jokes, helped me feel safe and worked patiently with my abilities and disabilities.

They were so incredible.

Review update 03/29/2024

I was welcomed by the wonderful Katie, who was working in a "greeting desk" directing people on the second floor of the medical pavilion. She made me feel very welcome and was very kind. She was wearing flower earrings that brightened my mood and cheered me up before I had to turn in paperwork for a disability claim.

I expressed those helped me. As I was leaving the building, she stopped me so she could give my a little bag of Easter candy. I actually really needed those this morning and she blew my mind with her ability to fully satisfy the customer.

She is an awesome part of the staff here at intermountain health.

The billing is a disaster, you cannot talk to the billing department. Charged for services that they did not even provide. Again - if you have a choice try another hospital. If you don't have a choice good luck! Update- thank you for your response below- that is who I am calling and they said they are not allowed to talk with the billing department. Patient Financial Services is not allowed to connect me with billing since they naturally have the answers. Any other numbers you would like to provide?
