This place is calle the autism center of excellence. More like the autism center of excuses. My son has been waiting over a year for his second assessment appointment. Received multiple texts and phone calla confirming the appointment. I tool unpaid time off of work to make this appointment. We were able to check in the day of the appointment through their website before we left our house. We arrived for his appointment and its all of a sudden canceled. Supposedly they tried to call my wife multiple times to reschedule. Said her voicemail was full. Which are both lies. How are these people supposed to help our children when they cant even manage a schedule properly. Now i will be forced to miss two days of work unpaid thanks to them.

The team did an amazing job with my son. Their process does take a while, but they are covering every aspect of your child's development, & no stones are left unturned. I feel more at ease now because all of my concerns for my child have been properly addressed. Thank You:)

So far my experience of this place has been subpar. It has taken MONTHS (as in 5-6 months) to get my son assessed and eventually get him referrals for the help we as a family need for him. Nearly every time I call the phone rings and rings and eventually tells me that no one can pick up the phone. It’s a miracle if they do pick up. They are friendly when they answer but it’s such a rare occasion that they do. When my son was assessed, all of the experts were very friendly. I thought that the OT therapist Joyce Cabrera was excellent and worked SO well with my son. I wish she could be our OT therapist forever.
Unfortunately it takes really long to get the help needed for those on the spectrum. The whole ordeal with not answering the phone really hinders things and makes things take longer. I have questions about some of the referrals I’ve received for my son recently and I have no way of asking about them, which really sucks because they are only good for a limited time.

(Originally edited my post over a year ago, to respond. Originally posted very long ago, a few years before covid, just for the record- today received a Google poplarity notice that caused me to notice that the Autism Center deleted their rebuttal of my review, after I had edited it to state that I stood by my initial review. Interesting.)

Tried an eval, took months to receive their evaluation,
which was not even an official diagnosis. Was told a follow up for official diagnosis could be 8 months away. No waitlist, just wait for a call they said. Double check at 6 & 7 months, to see if an appointment could be made yet. Was told they were full and they'd call. Called at about 8.5 months and were told it'd be 4 more months. Got a letter a few weeks later saying they couldn't reach us and referral no longer valid. Same phone number we've always had. They never called. Called insurance, who did another referral to them (despite us requesting someone else). Yet again, another letter saying they couldn't reach us. Liars and cheats. Zero help. Go somewhere else. I'm a polite person, with a child that needs assistance. My child doesn't deserve to be ran around like this. This center is the perfect example of what parents and children with autism experience, that causes such turmoil and setbacks.

Edited below, after Center's response to my initial review: Health insurance had correct information, as did record on file. Voicemail wasn't full and there were zero missed calls/attempts. Confirmed number over the phone multiple times with insurance and the office. Waiting for further child development and intervention results were not applicable here. I stand by my review.

The place is a sad please don't select them for your provider they advertise occupational and speech therapy in the riverside branch and as I wait after leaving many calls and no response I called the referral line spoke to adeline she said she doesn't do appt but she still had to pull up my childs information okay... and then she told me the reason no has called you is because we don't offer the services anymore....My insurance referred me to them for occupational and speech therapy so even the insurance is under the impression they offer it and this is scam company honestly even if they don't offer they should inform management to correct this big false advertised services no longer provide because now my autistic 3 yr old will be left with out occupational therapy and speech untill I can get this referral redirected with someone who can provide services this is sad especially because this company is affecting the development structure of our children bringing false hope they will get the services as they advertise and they no longer offer them.

Took my Son after months of concern. 1st Evaluation was approximately 1 hr long. Questions on family history and home life. "Psychologist" watched him play for a little while then told us she would take the video of the session and get back to us in 2-4 weeks. (whichwas being recorded so she could look it over with her team later).
4 weeks later, NOTHING. So I start calling, no answer. I leave countless voicemails with no response.
After 2 month I received a letter in the mail with a list of recommendations they had.
No diagnosis, just recommendations and if in 6 months he shows no progress bring him back.
HORRIBLE! All they did was use my son as subjexs for study, my son needs help and I am completely in the dark. I'm am not only hurt but deeply disappointed.

Who had a good experience? Expect to wait almost a year. We were seen in May 2018. Someone who isn’t a dr suspected absence seizures in my son so they sent us to get an EEG. I never heard from a dr about the results of that test. It reads that he was diagnosed with them but I’ve never been called. Expect to do their job of calling back. They were supposed to make the referral for an EEG but every time I called Loma Linda it wasn’t there. I had to call ACE center every week for a month and don’t call on Friday because no one in charge is there. Save time and go somewhere else. This place is horrible

Most horrible experience I have ever had to put my son through! They misdiagnosed him 3 times in 4 years!! The staff, especially the students were incredibly rude and impatient with him. If they are going to be working with special needs children they seriously need to reevaluate their attitudes! I ended up taking him to irc and got him diagnosed immediately with autism and by far had a far more pleasant experience! The staff at irc were really professional, kind and compassionate to my son and myself! I would never in a million years take anyone of my children here or recommend anyone bring theirs!
