I had a Chihuahua for 20 human years and lost her due to old age. I went through a lot of depression after I lost her and never thought I could replace her. Until a year later I met Rocco. I called the humane society and they told me they had a program (foster), where you can foster the dog 1st and you can adopt when you are ready. I thought it was perfect for me since I wasn't sure if I was ready for a companion. I fostered Rocco for a week and immediately knew I wanted to keep him forever! Best decision I have made. Thank you humane society for giving me a gift from God and a companion I will always cherish.

I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well staffed and well run this place is. The kennels were clean. The grounds are well kept. I'm so happy to see that. Great job to all! They have a lot of new puppies now.

I'm impressed by how clean this place is. No horrible smell, the kennels are clean. The animals look clean. Of course the fees are substantially higher than the animal shelter but there are proper reasons to choose Humane Society. If you're looking for a clean, healthy pet this place is your best bet. If you're simply looking to rescue please DO go to the animal shelter. Those animals NEED rescuing.

This is a great organization who cares about the animals in their care. They allowed me to just walk in and give donations of food that was good quality but didn't agree with my dogs, and they also take blankets and other supplies for all the poor animals they have to take care of. Meanwhile a lady was dropping off a box of puppies and offered us one outside. Stop backyard breeding El Paso. As for the humane society, their staff was polite and very kind. God bless them for the work they do.

Love the new program Rescue Readers that allows my son to volunteer and read to the doggies. The volunteers/employees are amazing and care so much for these animals. Can't wait to go back!

A must stop for anyone looking for a new pet! Very friendly staff who were extremely helpful and attentive. The dogs were well cared for and open to visitors. You can even feed some of them little treats to help train and get them used to people!

I have always supported the humane society of El Paso until now. It’s really all about business. I took my min pin to be to be put down of old age and was just suffering and crying day and night, which was the hardest choice to make. As it is a heartbreaking decision to make the staff that assisted did not make it any easier nor have compassion for our loss. My baby was put down without us with him holding him and to top it off they only gave us 5 minutes to see him and were standing at the door rushing us. We have had our min pin for 12 years and it felt like we couldn’t be with him till the very end. My money only bought me 10 minutes with my baby. I would have been better off paying $200+ with all the time I needed to spend with my baby with no limit nor pressure. I will never go back again after the way I was treated and my baby was treated. The humane society wasn’t so humane with my baby and family. No compassion did those 2 girls have. Instead hurry up and go please.

Give them a try it is worth the effort! Although it is difficult to get ahold of someone on the phone and not all pets shown online as available actually are….. Once at the site it is organized and they take their time to ensure you get the perfect match. I went in looking at other dogs and came out with a different FUREVER baby. I couldn’t be happier. And I didn’t adopt a puppy because all dogs deserve a beautiful life.
