Y'all make people want to die! You tell people after you take away their kids to do everything that you say to do because the goal is to get the kids home and they do the things that they're supposed to do and you tell the judge that they're not making any progress and that they haven't done anything that you have told them to do. Y'all are a whole joke and should be ashamed of yourselves. You don't do your jobs correctly at all. Ridiculous. Shameful.

I had a supervisor that called me, since it was time sensitive he actually called me back and handled everything that needed to be done within 10 minutes. Thank you and hats off to you sir whatever your name is ?

The girl at the front desk for EBT services is a very rude person. I've had several negative experiences with this office including the case workers. No kindness to people that have need of help. I pay taxes and work as hard as I can with my disabilities. Sad that tax payers money employs people that don't care about the people they serve. Pathetic...

Alabama is definitely a joke and does not care about assisting its residents. I applied for child support and was told that I would be updated within 30 days. After numerous calls and an escalation to a supervisor, I was updated 5 months later that they are just now starting to even work on the case. It makes you wonder what’s the point of asking for help if the system is not going I try to help you anyway

On the phone for over an hour and no one ever answered! This is an emergency situation where a refrigerator quit and we lost all food and have 3 hungry little kids! When I finally reached a person, I was told a supervisor would call me back! It’s a week later and no calls!
In the end, DHR did nothing to help!
Three little kids and no food!
One child is autistic and needs a special diet

This was my first time filing for Child Support so let me show you how this works from my experience here. File for child support ASAP because it’s a long process!! First, go here (in person) to DHR to request a child support form that will be MAILED out to you. DO NOT print from the website the three forms under ‘child support’ like I did and faxed them to DHR; there are more forms that are included that are not on the website. After requesting a child support ‘packet’ in the mail, fill it out completely with much information as you can especially with your child’s info and baby daddy info. It’s helpful to have his address, his employment and his car info make/tags.
Next, IMPORTANT, DO NOT SIGN anything in the packet!!! You will have to sign in front of a NOTARIZE personal! I personally went to AAA since I’m a member and it was free for me otherwise they will charge $40-$50 for all of the pages that needed to be signed and notarized. FYI, it costs me $50 anyway to be a AAA member for a year ‍♀️ You must have the packet sealed and notarized those five pages inside the packet before you turn it in personally to DHR.
Then, go to DHR on a weekday before 3:00pm because they will not accept packets after 3:00pm. Why? Because they will do a one on one private interview with you to set you up with a case worker and ask you questions. IMPORTANT, bring with you the signed birth certificate from the hospital and birth certificate that you received in the mail (if you have the first one that’s fine), also the mother and child’s Social Security cards. If you don’t have the child’s SS mailed to you yet, bring it to court. Bring all of these things with you including the packet to DHR for your interview and cash money or money order for the application fee which I paid $25. They do not take debit I think.
Finally, when I say it’s a long process and patience is key. They first have to verify the baby daddy’s address (this will take up to 30 days) Then, after verification a letter will be sent to him and you after 10 more days. If you haven’t heard from DHR in two months, contact your case worker. Court hearing date takes about 2-3 months to see a judge. Make sure you keep contact your case worker though to get that court date after two months of your interview.
Today, was my court date and my baby father didn’t show up for court. Now they have to serve him again with a letter or from an officer and a court hearing will be another 30 days from now. Ask your case worker if they can do back pay up to 24 months in your case.
God Bless and I hope my experience and info helps a parent in need.

Wow! Where do I begin first off im autistic and it inhibits my ability to work I have been through a lot of mental stress, and the jerk circle process of applying for food stamps is already a mentally draining and intimidating process, reguardless I sent my 6 month application and was informed I was outside of Morgan county at my new address and was sent a Madison County form to reapply in my county and it in their own words was “fill out a form for the county your reside that is included and mail it in with the supplied prepaid envelope” and I did, 5 days later I get a call from Morgan county with the most unflattering, egotistical narcissist on the other end throwing so much hate towards me as a representative of my case and I wasn’t having it, she was making wild claims that I had a job based income, and kept peddling my that and talking over me when I tried to explain that the forms sent shouldn’t have gone to Morgan if it was Madison county paper work, she continued to talk over me with hostility until I finally snapped and yelled back and she had the absolute nerve to say “I will not be spoken to in that way” and then hung up like a crybaby let me remind people who work these offices, if you’re representing the people who can’t work that doesn’t give you a do what you want and get away with it badge, you defiantly do not get to throw a superiority complex at us acting like you have some kind of power over us, it’s those types of immature attitudes being flung at us that makes me feel like I’m being singled out…just because you suck at your job doesn’t mean I should be a target, and by the way, Madison already said that you despite the attitude should have forwarded the forms to them regardless.

And when my sister who handles my funds from my disability check called this lady straight up made me the bad person and lied through her teeth about what was said, I literally had 2 others with me that heard how snobby she was and exactly what words were exchanged and 99% of the talking was all her talking over me me?!

Who ever that person was needs to learn her place like fast, and also learn some manners while she’s at it.

Extremity unprofessional of you
